idea! what if there was a mode so instead of just squares it was L-shapes? like 3 squares connected. that'd make for some odd combos, im sure.

Like L-shaped tiles, or an L-shaped board?
tiles fitted together, but an awkwardly shaped board would be fun too

ears might look better closer together on top of the head if they're cats.

I'm getting the impression that the rest of the mog's body looks like Don's body;

which is absolutely delightful.

aw shoot, you know what would be great? if you made the ends loop to the other side, so you could scroll in one direction indefinitely!

That would be fun indeed, and it is already in our to do list (somewhere around version 4.0 :) )
yesssssssss! could lead to some very cool animated gifs.

Yes -- noses, antlers, space men, human situations and actual life interest, who is stopping you? Or you can just make your own game completely.
I have to agree here. There are so many things you can do with the same application of skills that are more profitable. Using the game (and modifying it) to advance your skills is fine and good but you shouldn't let yourself be content with sticking with just one game.

yeesh, thought this was a 3d model, and was planning on directing you to the low-poly boards.

I wonder if making this in sketchup would have been faster..
