I don't really know how the GBC works but Star Ocean Blue Sphere seems to work fine like that :) Check it out here. Maybe it's just the magic of Enix...

Well I don't have much free time anymore, but I managed to get this done today. The battle system is heavily influenced by Star Ocean, only without the mindless AI teammates that use their skills when you least need them and watch you die when you do.

They're very eager slimes.

[edit] Now with interface. The gem guage is like the PB blast in PSO, but you can equip different gems to give your sword different skills. When it fills up, your TP guage is activated and you can use skills until drained, kind of like in Ys VI. It rises as you fight and won't disappear after battle, so you can decide to waste your skills on silly slimes or save it for the boss. (Naturally it should reset when you leave the dungeon area).

What a coincidence, I was just browsing your website the other day :3 Love your artwork! And these pixel-pandas are way too cute XD Great stuff, I especially adore the Chung-li-Panda and Kimono-wear-Panda!

Welcome onboard~

Wow that's an interesting mod! I'm personally on my second run of Wind Waker (in the crayfish shirt xD) but rather put away Ocarina 'cause the Biggoron quest was pissing me off... Haven't played it in a while since I got Four Swords.

Lots of people complained about the boating in WW but I guess it's all according to one's taste. I like adventures so I spent more time wandering and fishing for treasure in the boat than I did saving Zelda (reminiscent of Skies of Arcadia except without the battle interruptions). And hey, it's fun to fish for a useless pot when you're really aiming for a triforce shard :D

Comparing both games though is like apples to oranges, really... For an N64 game, Ocarina ain't so bad, Ganon was pretty scary... The boss designs in WW though, I personally think they're incredibly beautiful (and frightening... some enemies too, like those shreiking zombies O_O).  But if Nintendo ever got struck by lightning and remade it in the WW style for Gamecube... That could be kind of cool. The scary leopard-print streetwalking fairies, though... I'll take giggling alien fish people anytime. OK, I'll stop rambling now.

Long live Zelda 2! (/me runs away)

Kind of busy lately but managed a small new one before my vacation was up.

Its a new area where the hero is stuck walking in place. Looks kind of Game Freak-ish (makers of Pokemon and Screw Breaker). The green lights on the ground were supposed to glow but I guess the animation was eaten.

Great looking work from everyone :)

Thanks Darion, Pep :) Here's a little update of that one, I wasn't very happy with the bulbous rock walls (slight colour change too)...

Alex, that's rockin' :D Can't wait to see the finished version.

Waaah so many pretty entries~! I love yours, Darion. Especially the boss xD

Here's what I got so far... I kind of got lazy on the floor and didn't really tile it, so I'll probably trash it all later... Beware of slimes.

Battle, FIGHT! I was playing some Star Ocean Blue Sphere...

General Discussion / Re: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

The Oompa Loompas are indeed one guy multiplied by computer. And the sets were actually edible!

I don't know why but I found the songs the Oompa Loompas sung in this movie reminded of Scary Poems for Rotten Kids. (I don't know if anyone else knows about this little book...)

Pixel an Oompa Loompa at least!

It was a family outing to see that film and I think we were laughing the loudest. It's definitely among my favourite movies for this year (top fav being Batman Begins)! Just sick of hearing people comparing it to the old movie (which I don't even think you can really compare...) and that Michael Jackson thing too...
