Pixel Art / Re: 2-bit videogame ghost
« on: August 22, 2005, 08:25:32 am »
You are going the right way, looks better now.

Btw, this is 1-bit not 2. 1-bit is 2 colours, 2-bit is 4 colours, 3-bit is 8 colours and so on to the power of 2.

Oh, the plugs are supposed to have rounded tips. And i don't know the energy hog commercial.

Also, with diamond, do you mean the pupil on the right? The yellow/purple thing. I think that is fine as is, but feel free to edit it how you think it would look better.

And all of you thinking "huh, what's with the wide pixels and the strange palette", check this.

i've seen the spaceship and it figures that the guy in the spacesuit crashed on some planet with little monkey creatures. Still the igloo looks strange to me. Some wooden construction would be more suitable imo. But still ace pixels.

General Discussion / Re: "Sigma Star Saga" is out August 16th

As it looks rather unlikely that Adam is going to reply and everything that had to be said was said in this thread (and other things too) I'm locking it.

If you wanna go on discussing do it via PM.

Schu, that totally rocks. Perfection!

That's really nice Kon. But what with the igloo there?! Looks a wee bit out of place.

I don't get what you mean about the plugs. Could you do a rough edit (although i prolly won't change it anymore) :D

I use ProMotion, which is very good for animation and you can just add frames whenever you want. Basically I am misusing it's animation features to add a new frame every now and then to have the old ones to fall back to, in case I crap up. And then of course i can save those frames as a gif.

General Discussion / Re: Oekaki?
« on: August 18, 2005, 04:34:42 pm »
Well, it is technically possible to do pixelart in oekaki. The pencil tool is 100% opacity and no aa. So you can pixel - technically.
But it is rather unsuited for pixels, you have 0 palette management so you have to have a on-image palette and the tools are limited (still better than MSPaint tho). :D
