I'm still pretty confused, but well.. there's a thread for this project already in any case:  http://wayofthepixel.net/index.php?topic=13425.50

Yeah what's the deal, did you forget your own account password and thread for this project, or just pretending to be someone you're not?   ???

Really really love it.
Do think the 2x size blocks work well, and darkening the white blocks makes sense too, though prefer the original palette for the most part.

Also disagree on the comment about the outlines.  Obviously a huge part of the style and it's charm, and wouldn't look like sumi-e without them.

Really wish I could see this on a messy CRT TV through the eyes of a 10 year-old with no cultural knowledge of Japanese art.

Lately seeing a whole lot of spammy / redundant "I've sent you an email" responses to these posts from forum members that don't seem to contribute to the community in any other way.  Wouldn't like to see the threads locked as some enquiries benefit all from being public, but would it be a better experience for everyone else if we discouraged posting 3 or 4 of those a day?

Beautiful as always.  :y: The finger creases look a bit deep/dark to me though - looks almost segmented.

Little game I made in 48 hours with my ex gf, I did everything except the character illustrations, but concept / dialogue stuff was a joint effort.

Little game made in a week or so, also with my ex as a friend's birthday present.  I did all the pixel stuff, she did the intro/complete illustrations and voice sample.  A ton of stuff is somewhat based off the birthday boy's work too, inc the guitar samples.  Senile Team even made a dreamcast port.  This game's a super simple find-and-collect-em-up platformer, but very important to me, and kick started my current platform game project.

Windows only there..  A hard little game, my first 48hr game.

Scorched Earth / worms / multiplayer artillery type game. All graphics and sound.  I'm sorry about the lobby UI.

Little Pang clone, I did graphics music and audio for.

That's all I can find that's free and floating around online! A few others I only did audio or level design stuff, but I assume that's not in the spirit of the thread?

Draw at 10x the final size, using a 10 pixel wide brush. :y:

Character and animation looks pretty great, an incredible amount of work at this size.  Are you rotoscoping from something?  What's your process? Run pops a bit, you have a couple of close poses on the front leg (I think?) that need distributing better, so it doesn't slow down on the high pose.

I'd maybe look at your palette, not much contrast in it:
