he uses the term pixel in that he does work on a computer... he doesnt actually do pixel art. plus mspaint isnt one of the tools used listed on his page.

i think his work isnt very good. the anatomy on most of it is really funky

box punches guy
guy goes to kick box
box grabs guy's foot
box breaks his leg at the knee
box grabs guy by the body
box flails guy around (blood splatters all over)
drops guy on floor (dead or unconscious)
box tears off guys head
box throws guys head at the screen
head slides down... with this it could be the loop transition by wiping the screen

think in terms of that magic number PHI - 1.66 (the golden ratio) the lower leg is 1/3 the length of the upper...

and the head is huge... I don't know if that's the effect you want but if were me I'd reduce it down a fair bit.

nice sketch btw - but again.. the proportions are out... and that left hand (on both albeit WIP) doesn't read... think about changing it so it works in silhoette)

the golden ratio is actually ~1.62 but effectively yes, you can use 1.66 in most art cases

it seems like with the position of his right arm stub, the gree back glow should be modified to have his chest cast a shadow on it if you know what i mean.

Some time ago i was analyzing the metal slug explosions and as far as that goes, it's the best reference for pixel explosions EVER.

You can see that the fireball is broken up into "bulges" which flow downwards while the whole thing moves up, the actyal movement of the ball is not that big at all.


i dont believe they are moving downward as much as they are staying in the same place while the core of the explosion moves upward

i think the torso looks strange because it is leaning back when it should be leaning forward.
and the eye looks weird because the chin is undefined making the part of his hair look like the center of his forehead.
i think his left arm looks fine and his hand looks really good too. but his left arm's automail might need some detail work.
one more crit, his right foot looks too short and pointing the wrong way. while his left foot looks too small compared to his calf

other than that, its a very good drawing of ed.

no...just, no

emo is completely different
punk is rebelling... they dress how they want... often showing something to do about anarchy
emo is being depressed for no reason and dressing like a girl
