*ahem* sharks....you can't exactly sleep in floating water when their are sharks around who might mistake you for a seal, or large fish. That or giant squid...and lochness...and underwater warriors of Atlantis who charge trespassers 300 Runes( thats $8,000, American) to pass the toll...Sea life isn't for land peddlers, no sir.

If Finding Nemo has taught us anything, it's that all fish understand, but don't necessarily speak, the english language.

Thus:

Problem solved.

It was an April Fool's joke, but people wanted it so much, they're actually planning on making it a real product.

Looks awesome... :D

Help -> Contents? It was there when I tried the trial version.

It however isn't the "proper" manual you get when you purchase the full version. It should be enough to get you started though.

Yep, that got it... can't believe I missed that! I was too busy looking for some sort of text document or PDF or something  ::)

Thanks a ton!

The manual is the best tutorial you can get.

I'd take a look at it if I had it... all I have is the demo right now.

I'd like to try it all out before I buy, I guess  :P

Uhm, the site doesn't work, dunno what script u are usin', but it randomly throws stuff.
see: http://www.hot.ee/tindiplekk/pask.GIF I get different stuff with each refreshing.

As for the idea itself, it might work as a collaboration in pixeljoint, but not in a random place with million random people who mostly arent so artistic and collaborative.

It's not random, I'm getting the same thing over and over.

I'm guessing someone of 4chan got a hold of this... big mistake.

Pretty much everything you described is in ProMotion. Get it - the best pixel program out there.

Hmmm... I've had the trial for awhile, but never really messed around with it too much... I'll give it another try. Thanks! :D

EDIT: Niiiiice... it's like the best of both worlds from what I can tell!

Know of any help pages or tutorials to get me started? It seems pretty basic, but I'm sure there's some stuff I don't know about

I just noticed photoshop has a grid...

It.... kinda doesn't work very well. The spacing gets off for some reason.

Oh well, I don't absolutely need it anyway :P

Can't be done in PS but why would you need a grid anyway?

Just like to have it every once in a while... helps line things up sometimes.

To draw lines, click on a posistion with the pencil tool, hold shift and click to another position.
It will draw a line from position 1 to 2.

Hmm... I knew about that, but I never thought of using it that way... Thanks!

I got this not too long ago. It seems to be more of a history of sprites rather than a how-to, really, but there are a few techniques and a couple interviews in there:

I also have a Photoshop magazine with an article on Army of Trolls and a how-to thing for an iso city.

If you're looking for tutorials, you should really check out what's FREE before buying something:
