I took a try at making some 3 dimensional pixel art as I absolutely love how it looks. I've been using maya and photoshop. Unfortunately I ran in to a number of problems.
Surprisingly though my UV lines line up perfectly to the edges of the pixels (I pixel snapped them). Strange things happen. The pixels bleed in certain areas where I don't think they should and are cut off in others. Because of this you can see his face texture has been shifted to the left and down almost an entire pixel. Also I've still yet to figure out how to make it illuminate itself in maya without going completely white.
