I acctually prefer the neck on the original piece. The second one looks like a random placement of bumps but the first looks more like he has actual muscle mass. The wing is looking alot nicer though

Wow, this is looks great. Makes me wish I had some noodles in the house..

As for crits, maybe next time make the soup texture a bit bigger and the circular contents smaller. just so that you don't have such a large surface pixelated and smaller areas more detailed.
Not that it would make much difference from a distance though.

Definately look forward to seeing more!

I've actually got ideas for a set of 8 robotmasters I'm going to make, heres who I have so far. Hopefully I'm keeping within restrictions, im classing them both as using 2 palettes, one for thier colours and one for face colour and white. (these are unrelated to my previously posted megaman)
SKYWOMAN
PLASMAMAN


The other six I plan to make are:
Psyman
Cannonman
Warpman
Musicman or Noiseman
Novaman
Mirrorwoman
Also thinking of making an antihero named Viralman

I took a try at making some 3 dimensional pixel art as I absolutely love how it looks. I've been using maya and photoshop. Unfortunately I ran in to a number of problems.
Surprisingly though my UV lines line up perfectly to the edges of the pixels (I pixel snapped them). Strange things happen. The pixels bleed in certain areas where I don't think they should and are cut off in others. Because of this you can see his face texture has been shifted to the left and down almost an entire pixel. Also I've still yet to figure out how to make it illuminate itself in maya without going completely white.

It's good so far, i look forward to seeing it finished. The only problem I have right now is his arm when he presses the radio, it looks odd to me, too flat or something with the shading.

Keep it up tho, should be cool once its done.

I started on a larger piece of a character from the video game No More Heroes. His name is Letz Shake, a Singaporean Punk rocker/assassin who rides around on an Earthquake Generator containing the brain of the machines inventor, Dr.Shake.

So far its just a line art of Letz and Dr.Shake

I agree that the sword should be a different colour but thats because it's all I look at. I think the yellow is way too over powering I can't pull my eyes off it to look at anything else.

Yea it looks to me as if her shin is too short and her face is too small. Composition wise for the image i think the left side of the picture is way to heavy and needs something to even it out on the right, either the girl moved over or possibly the amp?

Looks pretty badass though, any ideas what bands will be on it yet? Warlock? Sinergy mayhaps?

I was always under the impression that NES worked with 16x16 tiles and could only use 3 colours for the entire character sprite. I am pretty sure I have to many colours in this though, I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. Heres what I have so far.
