I see no sticky legs in the concept. What are you talking about?

This naked-lolita-antro-amputee business is strange and a bit disturbing. But...whatever. You do need to add a [Nudity] tag as instructed in the rules.

As for the limb construction, the artist most definitely does not draw stick limbs. They are rendered quite thick and fleshy. You need to reevaluate your sprites and pay more attention to your references. As it stands, the character meshes much better in the sketches compared to the sprites.

allright, i just didn't noticed it have this kind of rule. i will just hide the picture as a link for a better safe. and that is why i need to improving this sprite. if she have only one arm, that is because she use the mechanic arm, which it could be used as a weapon.

for about the limb, the problem is that : when we turn this character into sprite, we can't see the foot thing and turn them into stick legs. which we decided to keep them in this way.

ps : don't blame me if i feel rude, it's just because i'm just pissed off from one java stuff that i can't solve it...

On the running sprite, the legs could be improved. Right now it's very hard to tell which leg is where. The flapping of ears and tails is very good, but could be much smoother.

Same goes for the walking animation.

i agree, for moment, we're still working on the other sprites. so, it will be soon finished ^^;

Walk animation is ok, but run is very stiff.

Also, in the walk the legs are pretty good, but in the run, his legs are twice as thin and don't bend.  Does he not have legs?  Or did he replace them with sticks?

Nekkid sprite doesn't read well.


like i said to emtch, it's still a wip and we're still working on and as it's the finals exam time, it will be kinda stuck ^^;

for about legs, that is a reason why they're sticky, it's because of art style that my main artist drew that way :



as you can see, the art style remind us the game called "animal crossing" so, that is why it's sticky ^^;

i admit that your mockup came out so well and i was kinda afraid that i couldn't hire you for the level design ^^;

excepted for that, the green guy remind me one of character from the good old game called "oddworld : the odyssey of abe" ^^
Thanks :). Yeah I basically couldn't stop thinking about Abe as I fitfully tried to make an interesting character. My friend calls this game `Abe's Odyssey: The College Years' (further drug references  :lol:).

Trust me, I'm too spasmodic to work for anyone!  :crazy:

You are really improving as an animator, Mike!

A motion blur can be described as summary of everything that happened between two frames. It is *not* an object growing in length because of its velocity, rather it is the illusion of several frames of animation blending together because they happen too fast for the "camera" to capture in frames. There is a streaking effect being caused because the sword or hand or foot or whatever it is that's moving is touching each of those points over the course of one frame. It isn't duplicated or leaving a trail - to our eye it looks more like it's stretching.


Excellent use of motion blur on Remy in Street Fighter 3 - study it frame by frame and see why it works!

Also your ice texture needs some work; right now it looks more like scales or feathers than ice, it's an abstract approximation of ice that isn't really grounded in reality.

And I'm afraid I have to totally disagree with you here, haha.
I don't at all think she has a very good grip of the anatomy or posture. I think it looks rather strange.
The hind legs and paws are huge, the tail looks a bit strange, the waist is far too thing and it looks really akward in proportion to the hind legs.
I'm just saying there's a difference between changing proportions and deforming. And right now it looks deformed and a bit abnormal to me.

just to point it :


So yeah my first drawing i realised ever in pixels XD and  i would like to know what kind of mistakes i did so i could improve someday.

And i have some questions like: what size of file i would use?
-when i try to change the size of it, it sometimes gets blurry when zooming in or out which makes it annoying. And i would like to know what kind of file i should save so it could have a better quality?

so, terley was right about it : it's completly different from wolf or any other specie and beside, allesia have her gallery at it : http://allesiathehedge.deviantart.com/ you will noticed that it's her own art style and she study in art school.

for about the pose, i don't see any problem because my dog can have this pose. in fact, it's an afraid pose form.

i hope that allesia will not get harsh by these comments since it's my buddy... ^^;
