It's just a little odd, on quadrupeds the toes of the back leg always point in the same direction of the front legs if they are standing or walking normally.

Pixel Art / Idle animation for player character

Hello!
I need a few tips on the idle animation of this character, both animation, design, and colour-wise.

Thank you very much

One small thing that bugged me, the toes on the back leg seem to be pointing outward more than forward like the front legs.

On the red version the darker shade is nearly indistinguishable and on the black version the contrast is too high for cloth, try a more subtle change there.

What´s with the flashing red colours sometimes?

That depends entirely on what you mean for landscapes, 16x16 is by no means really required and greyscale is often mainly used to see if the contrast in your piece works (in yours it doesn't the shade on the buildings, if they are buildings, to the lower left of the lightest ones reads very badly) after which you can then apply colour.

First off you don't have to upscale when posting here, just put em up with 100% zoom because the forums have a built in zoom function. Secondly, you seem to use a lot of dithering when it's not really necessary (although not in all your stuff).

There's more, but not sure what more general things to pick out here, maybe more contrast (and sometimes there's too much?) in your colours, if you want to have a more specific critique, put up only one thing and describe the situation and its use.

If you want to make something more detailed just make it larger and give it a few goes, post it on here and we'll help you proceed from there.

Now there is, looking good :)
You could try adding some motion blur to the falling tree.
