Hey everyone, December is on us, and that means it is that time of the year again, and along with it, our traditional Secret Santa exchange!
For the clueless ones, Pixelation's Secret Santa exchange is an activity where the participants (who previously signed up - so if you are interested keep reading) are assigned a member for whom they will have to pixel a gift, and exchange them on Christmas day.
The Sign up for this activity starts today (December 1st) and will continue until December 4th, so if you want to participate, what are you waiting for?!
On December 5th you will be sent a PM with the name of the person you will have to pixel for. (The member you pixel for will not be creating your gift as the pairs will be picked randomly)
Once you receive your PM you will have until December 23rd to come up with a present for your partner.
- Those willing to participate in the Secret Santa exchange must post in this thread with something on the lines of "I sign up". Posts with questionable answers will be ignored, so be clear to avoid confusion.
- You may only sign up if you know 100% that you will be able to have a present for your partner before the 23rd of December. Anyone signing up and not having a gift by that day will be banned temporarily (Unless you really have a good excuse). So beware and be responsible of not letting your partner down.
- When signing up it would be convenient on your part to write down a few facts about you, anything you are into or things you do not like, for making the gift production easier.
- Once you have your gift done, feel free to PM it to me.
You can pick a "gift wrapper" for hyperlinking your present, so when signing up or PMing me your present please state if you have any wrap of choice for your partner. Otherwise it will be assigned at random.
(The wrapper you pick will be "from you, to your partner" not the one you want as your wrapper) 
(Refer to them as A2 or B3 etc) So remember:
December 1st ~ 4th - Sign up (remember to write a few facts about you if signing in)[/s]December 5th - PM Send-out (You will receive a PM with your partner's name)[/s]- December 23rd - Last day to submit your gift (When submitting your present pick a gift wrap)

Q&A: Do the gifts have to fit inside the box we're assigned?
Not really, they are just for hyperlinking your gift and make the whole present opening more realistic; so your gift can be any size you want.
Just pick whichever gift wrap you like or think that will fit your partner the best, even if someone else already chose it.
Does it have to be really good?
I'd say try your best. But would you be happy receiving something with the quality of the picture you did?.
If yes, all good. If not, maybe you should work on it more.
I would love to participate in this event, however, i am going to be away from dec. 21st-25th. Would it be acceptable for me to turn in my gift before i leave?
People can start sending me the presents from the 5th (the PM send-out day) to the 23rd. So as long as you can deliver a gift within said range of time, you are more than welcome to participate.
When you say "pixel a present" do you mean a scene/picture, or just an object?
There is not an especific "present" if that's what you mean. Just pixel something your partner would like, or something you would like to give him/her. But you are free to make anything from sprites to a huge picture or animations etc, as long as it is pixelled.
The only restriction is to come up with a gift before the 23rd of december.

i dont want to strain my eyes and find the extra colors and get rid of them. any suggestions for an easier way? and i want to know the color count because i want to know if ive gotten rid of all the extra colors by seeing if the number is the same with my palette....
