This thread has been very helpful. I too have had this problem, and would like to post some sprites from my game but was scared of gettting it stolen.
I'm glad I don't need to pay anything to copyright it, I always thought you had to go into a building to copyright something

I'm afraid to say that my favourite version was the one in the OP. Very nice indeed, I don't like it with the shading, it's head looks to shiny then

Yes, the man would run around inside the dark bit. I just want it to get dark around the edges like in Ptoings.

Hello everyone second post (first was in introductions), and I have a question to ask. How do I get darkness around a picture. I'm trying to make this tutorial map for a game, just a little room to play around in. And I want it to get dark around the edges and eventually going black further out.
