My thoughts are that it's not shitty.  It is certainly acceptable if not just pleasant.   I would recommend adjusting your mid tone grey, either brighten it or darken your shadows.  On the right wall, you can barely see the color change in the top bricks.  You should also try experimenting with changing the color of your outline,  center top for example, where it is the brightest, the outline becomes more exaggerated. Try using the next brightest tone for some parts.  Keep up the good work.

Bleh.   I can't say I enjoy doing environments but maybe thats because I don't feel like I really understand what I am doing.   I plan on adding way more of the 'trees' among other things but I want to have the ground/terrain looking solid before I focus more on other stuff.   You can see I haven't filled portions of the ground w shading yet because I am not sure if I like what I have so far.  Any advice is much appreciated.

Hey all,

I am seeking out either a programmer or an established team to join and make some games.  Ideally looking to be setup as a pixel artist/animator. I feel stronger with characters over environments but willing to work on both. Open to other aspects as well such as discussing design and programming.

Very eager to make the next jump forward into gamedev! Working in GMS2 and 1.4 as well as a bit of Unity.

I have a few ideas of my own if you want to brainstorm, or I am fine with working on an already established idea if its decent.

Yeah.....major "booooo" for GIFs not having an alpha channel...They get 1 bit per pixel for full transparency or none.  I'm still waiting for APNG/MNG types to surpass the all mighty gif....

Character and everything looks decent but in my opinion you need to increase the image size and give the character a bit of room to breathe.  I just googled 'composition' and found this:  http://www.photographymad.com/pages/view/10-top-photography-composition-rules  I am sure you could find more information if you choose to.  Keep up the good work!

Hey all,

Been on and off w pixel art for 4-5 years now.  I also do 3d stuff but pixel art is my favorite.  I consider my strength to be animation.  My biggest weakness is environments.  Ok.  So what do I do now that I'm here?  What do I need to know?  Who's the top dog that I should beat up prison style?
