Yeah - black is my global color, and i dont wanna use it in the sea, so it limits it to 3.

Thanks.  I'll try and increase those water highlights later - its hard due to having 3 colors per 8x8 box and i didnt want to crowd it, but i'll play with it later.

Wow.  I think its great how you are always trying to push the boundaries and try out new crazy things.

On the picture front - the top one does look pretty hot with the more interesting pallette, but the second one wins IMO.  It sorta reminds me of an explosion in kaleidoscope form.

Well after reading lots of stuff by ptoing in the other section i decided to try something with C64 limitations.  I speant a few hours looking at a lot of helm's and ptoing's  :P works.

Well here it is -



I've still got to finish the sky - critiques and comments/suggestions are always appreciated.
It should be exact with the limits - but if someone with more knowledge/experience spots any mistakes or has any tips they would be most helpful.

Ive seen some C64 stuff from you before and really enjoyed looking at it.  Thanks for posting that info ptoing it looks really fun, perhaps ill see if i can get a good C64 emulator.

Where is your lightsource?  The shading on the head would suggest left, but the abs and his left leg would suggest right.  hmmm.

Well either you color reduced the image, or badly traced over it.  If you didnt create the original piece - then its ripped in my book.

You can almost smell the testosterone coming of him.  Yours would look quite nice in a dress.  Lol, not being mean - but everyone prefers a real butch man in a tight lycra outfit.

EDIT: on further inspection yours doesnt seem that far off the picture i posted shape wise - but i think he looks weedy because you havent used many highlights.  If you add more on the prominant bits suchas pecs and shoulders - then they will seem more robust and fuller.
