Pixel Art / Re: [C+C] Getting back into pixel art

I really, really prefer the original. :)

If you wanna be minimalistic, sure, some things need adjusting, but... it was a really cute piece to begin with.

Looks good to me! If you feel like your skull area is too "empty" you can maybe try joining a few pixels together to make seams? Like skulls have :) Might make for an interesting texture!

The top one reminds me of that spinning girl optical illusion. Like, you can make your mind make her turn in both directions. I feel the same with the top gif. His legs really merge together in a few middle frames that it feels like he's running backwards sometimes.

I suggest maybe making the legs more distinguishable by increasing the red? Maybe make one leg 'redder' than the other?

In my opinion the house looks really out of place with the environment :) The reason for that is that you used black outlines on it, when on all your other objects you used a more natural and palette-fitting shade.

Otherwise looks okay to me!

Amazing advice about the single head bob! It didn't even occur to me.

I adjusted it a bit, I think it looks more natural.

Still unsure if it bobs in the right step, I honestly can't tell :/

Thank you both so far though!

I added an extra frame because I realized the back leg jumps from the far back to the front. Thanks for pointing that out! I think the transition is a tiny bit better now.

Thank you for the feedback, appreciated!

Pixel Art / New at animating, feels like a limp. Help! (update!)
« on: April 09, 2017, 09:49:18 pm »
Hey there! So far I have only been animating nature stuff but I decided to give tiny persons a try. I am really struggling with this walking animation. It's aimed to be used for isometric places so I tried to tilt her that way, but it just feels like she's limping and I really can't put my finger on it as to why.

This is my very first attempt at a walking animation so any tips would be appreciated!
Also I am facing the terrible hair animation, any tips as to how to make it more realistic? I can't really determine where and when the "bounce" is supposed to happen.

I have tried looking and following tutorials but there's hardly any for isometric things. So I turn to you wonderful folk! (Also the 'feet' are meant to be hooves, that's why they look a bit odd!)
