Man that is loads better. Moving animation... Doesn't look like it's moving, though. Maybe have some way to indicate the wheels are moving?

I'm still really new to digital painting, and painting in general. I like how this came out, not too sure about the necklace, though. I think I should have spent more time on that.  ;D

I was really just trying to concentrate on the helmet, though, so I think I did alright.

Treat it more like a painting, and work your way up from the base colors. In other words, render the 3d forms into 2d through the use of your different values.

He can't really have a chin with the angle and style of the face.

is it ready for palette optimization?

I agree, with more detail it won't look like it was made out of legos. That's what turns me off about most isometric pixel art, people make everything look like it's made out of plastic.

Very nice start.

Danette is part cow, look at how her legs are. That affects her torso's posture. I think you should rethink her chest, it looks too superficial - it wasn't meant to be a "normal" standing pose. She juts her crotch out, and her chest back. Your character should be standing normally.

Much better.

Now that you have the contrast up, shade with the form of the Skeksis. A prime example of where to do this would be the tail, however he's in need of it everywhere.

Don't just darken the legs, shade those too.

nah, I dont think the pose leads in for a titty show at all :p she's clearly only showing her back.

Her body would be angled because her arm is up like that. Try the pose and see which is more comfortable, a static front pose, or a dynamically turned torso.

He has no chin.  :D

I really love how you colored him, especially parts like the belt. Only two colors, but it looks so 3D. The head looks like it's from another perspective as the body. Shade the hilt!

It looks great.  :)

Pixel Art / RPG Template

---------------------

I've been working on a template for a tactical game. I was expecting something isometric when I got the rundown of the game, but apparently it's supposed to be from the traditional birds eye view. I'm alright with that.

HAHA THESE GUYS ARE SO HORRIBLE LOOKING
> >

I'm using 16 colors including the background. I'm a bit worried that consistency is going to be hard when there are this many shades, some of them only used in a few places, but that's the least of my problems. Some of it is poorly shaded, mainly because at this stage it's just there to get the shape right. Can anyone help me with the legs? I've gone through maybe six different sets.

Again, I'm looking for shaping critique at the moment, I just seem to work better with a lot of colors on my palette (It's more like painting), it'll be reduced to a smaller palette once the shape is right.

Any other flaws you could point out would be great. :)
