Pixel Art / [WIP] Reader - Adventure Game NPC

So here's a guy who's reading on the porch:

I'm trying to emulate the style of adventure games of the early 90s (like Monkey Island 2 for example) which has proven more difficult than I expected. Also, I'm having trouble applying perspective while still keeping the character physically balanced in the chair. Clearly the chair is not done... I originally thought it would be a good idea to figure out the character's pose before filling in the chair, but maybe drawing the chair will help me keep the perspective consistent.

Any help you might be able to provide in any of these areas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Decided too combine both my current threads.... Clearly the T-Rex needs the most work. The snout sucks, I know, but I'm having trouble fixing it. D:

Before I push these pixels any further, I was hoping I could find some help getting it to look (for the most part) like an anatomically correct T-Rex. The snout especially is giving me trouble...

- Arm and hand are super wonky.... anatomy crits would be appreciated.
- Shading the breasts???
- I think I'm going to change the irises of the eyes completely.... Done!
- I'm having trouble with the mouth.
- Colors are not necessarily final. (Suggestions welcome.)

Now that the Secret Santa is over, I thought I'd post the little Christmas themed ninja I made for Dogmeat for critique:

EDIT: I realized one of the main things that has been bothering me: her right thigh is almost completely obscured by the skirt. It makes her stance confusing at first glance.

Also, AUGH! The hem of the skirt is tangent to the top of her sock!! It looks awkward! I hate tangents. :ouch:

I'll post elements of the game here as I finish them and a mockup as soon as I've put together a decent tileset.
C+C is appreciated for anything! :)

This is still in the veeeeerry early stages, so I apologize that there isn't much to critique yet.

(I'm gonna speed it up a bit so he seems more hyper than relaxed.)

I don't really know what to do with the dirt. I think I'll go ahead and make it rocky/receding into darkness. I originally imagined that he'd walk in front of the dirt that supports raised platforms, as shown in the current demo (below), but now I think the raised platforms will be made of something else entirely. Possibly floating? Hovering? Mechanical?

If you have any ideas as far as enemies go, I'd love to hear. :D
