Pixel Art / Re: [WIP] dog monster!

Right on tocky! I really prefer a lot of what you did in that edit :)
Also, although I agree with your comments in general, I am confused:
How was the original "pillow shading" and the eidt not?
It seems pretty much like the same technique, only using more of the 2nd brightest tone.
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to be constructive!

Pixel Art / Re: Waterflow, Walking animation claim for help, rabbit jump

Yes, as you observe, a bank would be nice.
My thoughts on each piece:
"Waterflow" - shadows would be helpful
"Walking" - foot lift and heal strike are both important, but both seem to be missing
"Rabbit" - front section should lift with hindquarters

Is there anything specific you are hoping to improve?
If these pieces are part of a mockup, it might be more helpful to see them actually IN the mockup.

Pixel Art / [WIP] dog monster!

I did this doodle cause I wanted to try anatomical stuff.
I am ok with how I got the forms to read so far, but I don't love the shading or colors and would like something more interesting.
Any technique suggestions?
C+C and/or edits are most welcome.
Thanks :)

Thats pretty imaginative. I dont like the cast shadow in the original tho, and would be changing th light source if it were my piece. Btw, I had trouble getting into pixeljoints joints forum too, untill I switched browsers. Give some others a shot maybe.

Hey man.
Fun :)
Watch out for dropping contrast. those silken garments should be throwing off some brighter specular flash on the folds.

Thanks for the help :)
Tried some punched up colors, adjusted head size, tweaked belt

Looking cool.
The leg position might be changed like so in order to give a better sense of the weight and orientation of the character:
My edit alternating with your original

@terley: I see what you mean about the outlines.
@sharprm: Thanks, trying to see what you mean about the front/side views. Guessing you are refering to idle/run. So the belt and details are not reading in the run animation?
