the application window is starting half off the screen and I can't reposition it to the center.

I don't think that pure pixelart would be a better process to achieve the result he is trying to achieve. Dodging and burning are powerfull tools to make quick ajustments and refinements, that would take much more time by picking new colors and re-pixeling entire parts. Obviously pure pixelart can give more sharpness and control of edges, but with a few refinements he can achieve the same. So, I don't believe this process is worthless, silly, nor a worst way to do things, it's just a method that can be more confortable to some people.

If you aim at process (push your skills), that's what pure pixelart is all about. If you aim at results, pure pixelart is not the only way. Any non-pixelartist can hardly tell the difference between the original from Redshrike and Ptoin's edit.

*I'm a pixel-purist, and this is not a method that I use.

How about make something similar to this collaborative infographic?

First draw a base lineart, then separate into tiles.
Maybe even hide the entire tiles from others! The contrast between the different approaches to represent the same thing give an interesting effect.

how about creating something similar to this but with pixels?

maybe with an increase of 2X zoom in every following pixelart.

supposing that it is workable, in theory it can have any lenght, with any number of entries. (course it demands a minimum)
It just needs that someone make the last image bridging with the first to loop endlessly.

Edit: didn't know the same idea was posted in the Hexquisite Corpse Suggestion Thread, meh

work done for my illustration classes. Background made with paper, character and pigeons with modelling clay.

junkboy: Amazing work, loved the colors. Is it done in ArtRage too, or is it real paint this time?

Started to work on my tiles. Still very WIP.
Need to think in new elements to add and give more detail.
