Pixel Art / Re: [WIP] 32^2 Character and Run Cycle

Here is a walkcycle tutorial that will help you, and will allow me to only have to type very little. He in fact, bounces way too much as coran stated. Is this just 2 frames? That's all I can see.

You could either, make her look feminine and give her a manly pose, or make her look manly and giver her a feminine pose. That's a way to convey her strength.

Besides the head of the axe looking like it scales in size, I think these are looking much improved! I'm ready to play the game.  ;D

the abs look ridiculous.  Just erase them and make him wearing a shirt. the right arm on the inside goes up to far. He has no shoulder joint!! Color would also help this piece. Right now it's just line art.

It would be cool if you would lean the body of the tin man as he runs. Would put more character in the jog. Right now he's a bit static.

Ok, back to the original look. Sorry for straining. It's just kind of hard to keep it simple. Started working on a level design, but I'm not sure what to put. I was picturing an old creepy Victorian house. I tweaked the legs and started in on some more AA. The grandfather clock is hideous I know.

The face is not very appealing to me. Very boyish. I suggest simplifying the face and lightening her skin tone. The tall eyes, while a style don't look right. I would also erase the 3 pixel eyebrows that just make her look dirty. The animation though, looks great.

Try delaying the head or just breaking up the even action. Here is a small edit. I hope you don't mind. It looks pretty solid to me though. The only thing I would do different is try to incorporate a hop. He is after all a frog.

This is a c64 restricted piece. I wanted the original flat design back, and I also wanted to experiment with c64 style graphics.

Lighting source could be more consistent. Especially his pecs. His hands are tiny and hard to read. It looks like he has tiny tree limb claws. The top of his head is too dark. Contrast is real high but I think it's because you have a black background which seeing the original you intend to keep, looks fine.
