Well I do have to say, I really like what it looks like. It's mildly trippy, in a good way :o  I would like to CC on it, but right now, I just had to say what I thought of it so far..

Actually, no. At the most dramatic I could make it, it still only comes out to 7 heads tall, which is "ideal" height. So, I don't believe the head is actually 'too small' in this instance, but it may look as it is thanks to perspective and other things.

"An average person is generally 7-and-a-half heads tall (including the head). This can be illustrated to students in the classroom using paper plates to visually demonstrate the length of their bodies."

Ok so, I'm working on this...literally for you all to tell me how to fix stuff, so in the end it looks fantastic. (and hopefully, I've done everything right and didn't break any rules or common practices, I'm essentially new..having only posted a few times before and then losing the site XD)

As of right now, it's clearly a WIP...but before I go on to the rest of her body, I had figured I'd ask you all what would need improvement. I really want to shade this with dithering, but I don't think I clearly grasp the effect much at all, so if I would be able to get some help with shading more than the lining, I'd be grateful. Obviously once I get down the concept I'll work more on her body as well, updating this thread with my progress..and thank you for at least viewing the thread :P

Well, in this one my whole goal was pretty much just to show me, and I'm not too good at drawing things other than stuff like that pose there, though I am working on being able to make them a little more interesting...The next one I do, I will make sure to make the pose more interesting and involved.

Here is the original sketch I used...

and here is an updated version of what the doll looks like..  Also, in response to Stefano, I thank you for your input, and I have tried to adjust the nose, and mouth (I actually enjoy having some cartoon-esque aspects to what I do, as with the eyes; I guess it's my 'thing')..does it look better or worse this time around?  Oh, and I was wondering how the hair and necklace look. -- If I am asking too much or something, please do tell me..I don't like being a bother to people-- :-\

I'll post the drawing I made later tonight once I can get to my camera....but DavidCarney said I should add some personality to it....what would you mean by that?  Would you mean that I should add a personal touch to it...or more of a dynamic pose?

Hi, I'm sorry if I do anything wrong but it's my first time posting.  OK....so I am making a pixel doll of a character of mine who is based on me..but before I get on to the clothes I would just like to know if there is anything to fix up on the template first.

I used Wayuki's tutorial on how to make a doll base, and my only real question is if everything looks right before I put clothes and hair on it... :-\
