Very good! Try doing a rotating sprite of it to practice other angles!
Do watch the banding though as he said, I missed it at a glance but it's a bad habit you should vanquish now!

I dunno, it looks fine to me! Perhaps scatter more of the pockmarks across the trunk?
Roots, perhaps, on the smaller trees?

It's not bad, but I don't really like how he's partly floating. When he bobs up and down or walks, his feet slide unnaturally on the floor.
What he said, try to tighten the jump arc to have more weight to it. Some shockwaves or a crouch stun when he lands could sell that too.

I'd say that fixes the problem handily for me, at least!
Given the era you're trying to emulate, a slight bit of jankiness is even preferable for accuracy's sake!

Actually I would keep emphasis on the top eyelid movement, the bottom does come up to meet it slightly but the majority of the blinking movement is by the upper eyelid.

Here, in addition to being funny this showcases the concept well.

Second, the anatomy needs tweaking. The thighs seem to trail off into nothing, and the legs don't have much form to them! Sucky as it can be to learn,ALL good stylization is founded upon a strong understanding of anatomy. See samurai jack and disney's motorcity for examples of teo ends on the style spectrum, you can best see the concept in action through their art styles because they start with strong anatomical understanding and push and tweak from their to keep their look clean and pretty!

Looking better, but I'd also tweak the legs to extend back further and not come so high when pulling forwards to reduce visual noise and improve overall silhouette of the motion. It's a bit unclear at 1:1!

Notes: sometimes you gotta flub perspective in favor of composition, lower the horizon or raise/deform it enough to break the effect it's got now where everything is lost for all the details clashing with each other.
Second, it looks like marble rather than sand both for the lack of gritty texture and the way it's just totally flat under the chest. Bulge it up around the bottom, put mounds in! Sand bunches up into ridges!

Lower the head for a clearer and more expressive run!

Tip: try to describe the work you need done!

Yes, much! Don't forget the forearm bump though, when arms are bent that muscle group tends to fluff up some, like so:

Try to replicate that curve on the inside of the elbow, and use your dark lines to provide a better indicator of form on arms and legs. I'll try to squeeze an illustrative edit tomorrow if I catch up on math!
