Thanks for the feedback guys, I tried adding an outline so it stands out more against the contrasted background.

The biggest thing is...I want to get rid of the sel-out as much as I can while still having the sprite stand out on the following backdrops:

The sprite looks particularly messy in this situation:

And that's mainly what I have trouble with right now.

Whatever the wait happens to be, the sheer quality of this gift makes it totally worth it! Conz, you are the man. Conceptually, that piece is really shaping up, and I'd say the tone is perfect. Now I see where you were going in the first place, aha.

Even in its early stage, there's a lot interesting going on in your gift, Conz. The color ramps and circular compositions are really interesting, so thank you lots for the work you did :y:
All in all, it's abstracted pretty interestingly, and in a way I don't see done often, even in its simplicity. Merry Christmas to you, to Ambi, to all.

And really Conz, don't worry about missing Christmas day - I think you tackled an ambitious, cool concept that probably would need the greater time, regardless. The PM attached to the piece is thoughtful, and I understand. If you end up fleshing it out, I bet it'll be wonderful.

I disagree with MysteryMeat's issue with the composition. The blue is such a strong tone that I feel like its simplicity and openness serves the piece well, and its emptiness keeps the focus on her. Why disrupt it? Would you say the same for an open sky or sea?

The dense amount of detail on that first town screenshot is very impressive, and makes me reconsider how much detail can actually fit into such a small resolution. The buildings are all rectangular, so that helps...but it's very effective nonetheless. The portraits are similarly lovely. Lots of subtle facial stuff in so few pixels.

This is something I'd be interesting in looking through! I may give it a go later on. Nice find, Ryu!
