General Discussion / Re: Pixelween 2: The Lesser of Two Evils

The movie is bah. Long live the original comics!
Pah! Long live the actual book!
Erm, I looked over the rules, and can it be from a book? Probably not, but yeah...

I like the second one, but you used the same exact arm as in the first one (his right in first, left in second), just changing the hand and changing a few pixels. It looks kind of odd, and looks like the arm should be used for the view it originally was used for, cause some of the details don't quite fit.

I'm aware it's not too good right now, I'm trying to work on colors and shading...then I'm going to put the light inside it.
Godslayer makes me sad.

Wow...I was right?
I really like the ground, looks really nice, very good shading for 2 colors...makes me want to try something like that. Almost.
I agree with Terley about the clouds, but I still don't know where the character is  ???

Yes, it's 1 bit. There was a discussion about that awhile ago...with a ghost made by someone.
I don't see a character at all, but you were able to very well shade with just two colors. I never was good at that...

Would it be at all awkward if I were to say I love you?
You actually almost inspired me to try making RPG-like sprites (although there are, in my opinion, too many people trying  ::)), but luckily for most everyone I failed so miserably that it doesn't even meet my low standards for myself...heh.
I should very much like if you could find someone really good to do pixeled portraits (I know you're trying  ;)) as opposed to some other media, because all of this pixel work is really impressive. I seem to remember you being incredibly good with portraits, why don't you try them?

Pixel Art / Re: pixel comic: something dark

I very much like this; much better than what I first expected when I saw the title (pixel comics usually don't look so nice :D )
I really can't crit this in any way, however I have a question: What do you mean by Lovecraft? The author, or am I missing something?

It's not bad, but the way you shaded it is...well...frowned upon by most pixel artists, to put it nicely  :)
It's an interesting picture, but I think there are some line and form problems here and there, such as the hunch-back (I'm sure it was intentional, but it looks off). In VictorR's edit, it doesn't much fix the shading problems, just made it look sort of dirty, and the shading (for the most part) doesn't have much form, making it look flat. I'd edit, but I'm on a really bad computer, so I can't right now, maybe later, though.

Pixel Art / Re: yus bird panel

Heh, dumb question, but what precisely is a Yus! bird...?
I did a google search and all I saw was Ptoing's c64 piece. Did he create it?  ???
I personally think it is very well done, but I agree that the white background is pretty harsh, but I don't have too much experience with the c64 pallete so I'm not sure what colors are available.
