Pixel Art / Re: Small demon? New Artist
« on: October 06, 2016, 04:17:24 pm »
That is one cute fox demon thingy  ;D

I think you should remove the black outlines and give him a little more texture since he appears to be covered in fur but it is only visible atop his head.

Maybe you should consider changing the position of the tail or not drawing his knee because his figure is not recognizable at his actual size and since the tail is so close to the knee it is causing clutter on the sprite.

One last thing, you should try changing your highlight color to a more orange tone and your darkest shadow to be purplish.

I think I finally figured out what was wrong with the face, that nose looked way more like a parrot's beak than a nose.

I am not a fan of outlines but they do make the colors more vibrant.

Edit:

Pixel Art / Goblin WIP [C&C]

Been working on this goblin for a sidescroller. I really don't know what to do with the face though, and that arm does not appear to be moving correctly. Thoughts?

I think the image could use a ton more contrast. Right now the horse has a lot of colors that I can't see without zooming in real close in the body area.

I think it needs to be more spiky/asymmetric for it to look natural. This last edit looks too symmetrical/mirrored imo.

you mean grass itself or do you refear to the transition from grass to dirt? :D

The transitions :] The grass texture itself looks neat.

Looks pretty dang good!

I would lower the contrast in the floor tile so the other objects stand up more because as of right now the texture is too noisy and the characters and objects are hard to distinguish. Also the perspective in which the characters are draw does not match that of the dungeon props (in particular, the barrels).
