Hey thanks for the reply friend! That's a really really great tutorial, and helps me understand AA much better. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to properly thank you for the edit, I've been quite busy with personal stuff. I will try to improve my piece.

The shading is still rather inconsistent, mainly towards its back. It appears to me, rather than the light being transferred to different parts of the body, the body is being warped. Keep the light source stationary, let the body move into the light. Not move the body with the light. Think reasonably about what would possibly be creating those shadows in the first place.

You have a stray pixel in saitama's run on his head.  :D

Edit: As Wzl pointed out I preferred the left one too.

Edit2: I just noticed quite a bit of your animations have stray pixels in places. Those could be worked on.

@odert9 How do you know he isn't the one that made the tutorial and he's just testing you?

Thanks for the resize. I was able to edit some points I wanted to put out. Mainly on BB8 regarding your light source.
Light reflects off of the ground. You accomplished this with rey's legs, but it's missing off of BB8 which throws the whole perspective out of order to me. Your sphere looked sort of flat because the shadows were off, and thus the perspective. Rounder objects tend to be the ones that capture ground reflection(whatever it's called) the best. also BB8's head should have a cast shadow over his body, at least according to references I looked at.
Also an Idea would be to go more in depth on your cast shadows. I tried to give you an idea of what I mean, they aren't perfect though.
My final note I wanted to point out was on rey's cloth. The fold flying in the breeze, didn't really resemble that to me. The reason because it was much to flat and square, which resembles cardboard rather than cloth to me. To fix this, try making the flap thing, less consistent.
Hope this helps.

Try not to post upscaled images. Generally best to keep the original size. The website has a zoom tool built into it. Simply click the image. I was going to make an edit on your BB8 but your image was too large for me to handle. The light source seems kind of inaccurate. Like its coming from a 30 degree angle rather than a 45 degree angle.

Pixel Art / [WIP] Eye know the struggle

Don't really know why I am making this. but I'm kind of invested now.
This is my first time really attempting AA. I looked up a tutorial on it, but not really sure I am using it properly. I have to admit, it's a technique I under use, so I decided to practice on this.

Its a sad eyeball monster drinking away his problems with eye drops.
It's sad because it cannot blink.

Your guitar is extremely un-proportional compared to the guy which is a problem in the animation IMO.

You are thinking too much on your shading by adding too many colors, instead of trying to use it for perspective.
Your color choice is also very soft values which makes your shading look soft. In your attempt to make it less gradient, you just removed shading, rather than actually fixing it.

Your shading is very cell shaded, there is no obvious light source. which makes the image look rather unrealistic.

This is my version of a janitor, I would recommend starting off smaller. Your sprite is rather giant. why make it harder on yourself?
Look at my colors of choice, mainly on the jumpsuit. Think selectively about your colors, ask yourself, do I really need this color in the piece, or do I really want the color? If you answer yes to these questions then probably keep them, otherwise you'd probably be safe, and better off not including them.
