Job offers / Re: [PAID] Looking For a Pixel Artist For a Fighting Game
« on: September 12, 2015, 02:51:33 am »
It's quite simple Meowsor. It's 2$ per sprite and he wants 80 - 90 sprites done, equalling a total of -10 sprites to be manually deconstructed. Then he wants a level done for 100$ Multiplied by two for a total of 200 a pop. Now simply subtract fish, divide by negative infinity, carry the two, and there we have it! Illuminati confirmed! Lol

Pixel Art / Sunset Lighting Issue
« on: September 12, 2015, 12:26:27 am »
Hi guys. I know this piece is still really undeveloped but I could really use some help. I'm trying to make a sunset but the more I think about the lighting scenario the more confused I get. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with the lighting before I get too far into this? Thanks!

Pixel Art / Re: [WIP][C+C] Caveman riding a Pterodactyl
« on: September 11, 2015, 03:21:13 pm »
Well the pterodactyl definitely needs to be a bit lighter to contrast with the dark background. As far as the texture goes, I like it so far, but if your not satisfied try looking at pictures of lizard scales. You can be pretty creative and other it though since no one really knows what dinosaur skin looked like for sure. If I see you I'd also move the lighting to the front of its face to highlight it instead of highlighting the back of its head.

So you think just reducing the size of the rocks would be better, or is there anything else I can do to make it feel like a seamless part of the mountain?

Its a nice character. I think it could use some more detail on the cloth thing on top of her head though. I can see wrinkles on the sides of it, but the top looks unnatural smooth in my opinion. The arms seem to come out to her sides a bit far too.

Pixel Art / Re: rafal's sketchbook again

I like the portrait but I see two things that could be fixed to make it look a bit better. First real issue is the shading/lighting on the nose. It looks like she has one nostril, and the lighting suggests that her nose is facing forward, when you can tell by the rest of the portrait that she has her head turned very slightly to the right. The other thing I see is that the sides of her lower lip could come in a little further to the middle. Its still pretty nice overall!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I've been working on it a bit more. I worked on the lighting on the tower a bit like you suggested Julito. As far as the reflection goes, I think I'm going to just redo it once I have the scene its reflecting finished since I think thats where I went wrong to begin with.

Also, do you guys think the color palette is okay? I'm used to working in grayscale.

Pixel Art / Critique Needed - My First Major Pixel Art Project
« on: September 09, 2015, 08:27:00 pm »
So I've dabbled in pixel art for about a year now making some platformer tilesets for fun and just generally goofing around. I guess I was just in a pixel art kind of mood today so I started on a landscape. Its still a WIP, but I could use some feedback, and to know if its worth continuing. Thanks!
