fix the grey pixel in the center of every square, and, hmmm, ¿maybe add a second layer of rocks a little more dark to make the transtition less abrupted?

Your sprites are black and white, which is why they look out of place..
Also, this looks like a mix between a pyramid and a castle, because of the yellow bricks.

and this is how you know if someone reads homestuck or not.

@Ai: Man, with all those features that sounds like GIMP will be the ultimate pixel art tool. As long as it is not about animations at least. :crazy:

Still i will say the same.

But if you want outlines really hard, dont do black outlines please, it works so bad in low size sprites.

no, don't force yourself with some handicaps if you are a rookie, that only will make it harder for you and probably will make you hard to make better art in the future.


you are obviusly not going for a especific aestethic so go 1 thing at the time, look at what you have, what is wrong? The background? The character? the tile? The weapon? if is more than one, pick one and think about how can improve.
