Nice skeleton, unfortunately that was not what was asked for.

Your sprite is roughly 75 pixels long...Well I made it 75 pixels as it was close enough and for a reason you should get here soon.

The recognized realistic human male proportions state the human male is approximately 7.5 heads long and 2 heads wide. Of course we could get into idealistic and heroic proportions, but you stated realism so that is what I aimed for.
Which means for a 75 pixel long sprite we can divide that into 7 and one half sections. Note - I'm using the male proportions because the numbers match better and at this resolution it really doesn't matter.

That means you need to fit the whole skeleton within the bounds of the box I created for the given sprite lengths. Of course you can make it a bit wider/longer/shorter so long as you don't go to far with it.

So build your skeleton in the space provided.

Have fun  ;D

Nix everything, skin, hair...etc. Anatomy starts with the skeleton. Build a proportional skeleton then come back.

Thought you could freely place light sources in DesingDoll?  ???

Half-assed edit, used some parts from other edits really quickly. Will finish later, got busy.

Really quickly though:

Use larger pixel clusters.

Check up on your anatomy.

Her height is fine, typical anime style lends itself to longer legs, this is fine.

Keep her hair to two colors if you are going to go that thin with the swirls, looks very messy as it is.

Calm down on trying to texture stuff. Usually no need at this resolution instead use shape, color, and large clusters to make details pop.

I'm happier with it now but a little disappointing I couldn't keep it looking like the same person. Hopefully with more experience I'll get that.

It looks like a different person because of how much more improved it is. To make it "look" like the person in the first iteration you would have to take backward steps from the progress you've made.

Don't do that, move forward.

And nice progress.  :y:

Quick anatomy rework:

Push your line of action more, focus on creating a more dynamic pose. She is in the air let her pose show it.

Do something with her hands, just about anything works except hiding them, balling them up or as you did pancaking them.

Also, arms aren't spaghetti and elbows are a thing that exists. If you have issues with anatomy take a picture of yourself in the mirror, if you can't manage the pose without liquefying your joints than try something else.

Showing the face straight on is boring and difficult to shade without looking flat. 3/4th view is God.

Get rid of your outline, if you have difficulty separating the sprite from the background without it, than you have an issue with colors.

Always exaggerate bust size. Boobs are double God.

Yeah, in your minds eye rotate your front sprite 90 degrees to the left or to the right and redraw it.
