Pixel Art / Re: Stone Church

Hi Night,

Thanks for the edit! some great help.

I tried to add some of your ideas to the piece.

I tried to change the top of the bell tower. Not really done yet. But perhaps something like this.
I took your colours for the stained windows they looked much better.
I also used your bell with some small changes  for now. I plan to animate the bell later.
I also removed the one colour from the shadowed wall as your edit. The grass has to stay the same since it is already in the game like that.

Working at a snails pace on updating A Bastard's Tale. Not enough time..

Here is a Church. I tried to make stained glass windows but I am not sure how they turned out. Also, The church bell looks a bit off.

Thanks for the kind comments Japie81, Yeah I guess the shadows needs some work. I have issues with the colour count in Photoshop also so I kind of thought I need to fix that first.

Thanks for the comments Heyguy. I will try to make the roof more interesting.

The reason for the dormers is so big because the sun is quite low. but I will look into it.

And yeah I realise that the sign is wrong. I just wanted to show the sign so the vanishing point is off on that one.

Here is a animated version of the old version. I will update later with a never version.

here is a new version with changed sign, roof, and shades.

Thanks for the edit and comments BatElite. Picking the correct colours is one of the hardest things for me.

I have made an edit and addressed most of your issues. I kept the door frame since I like the contrast with the stone and wood but it might not be historically accurate.

No time to make a new game so I am working on some updates for a Bastard's Tale.

What do you think about this tavern? Stills feels a little boring to me and bit dark.

It all depends on your game. What kind of graphics and sprites are you planning to use? I would start in that end.

First, how big will the player character be?

Good Questions Decroded.

The plan is to also have the background well animated so it should look good. I do not view it as going back but trying something different. So it is mainly a style I want to try.

But perhaps you also have a point with production speed. I want to have a many enemies and then it should be easier to animate.

Cyangmou, thanks a lot for the help. I will change the sprite to be more anatomically correct and post it here.

I did not even think about the colours. this is the first time I try to have restrictions and I have to think about how I will adapt.  The game will take place at night (not because of Bloodborne) so it will be quite dark.

And yes, it will be like "A Bastard's Tale" with some alterations (I am a one trick pony). Since it got so good reviews I want to expand on the idea. I guess I will have to make the learning curve a little less steep this time ;D.

NowvaB, Thanks! I thought it was something with the background and transparency I am new to graphic gale (which I now love).

Kellawgs The rotoscope is from a nerd with camera in a basement. In other words, from me.

It is rotoscoped. I will probably do that with all the player animations.

It is supposed to be a farmer who holds a sword for the first time. So soccer mom sounds perfect :-).
