If you look carefully, you can see that I have only used such white, squared, highlights on one tone; the skintone. There is no need for me (or you) to use such a bright highlight on any other colour.
Oh, and those are not all the enemies... just my favourites! (: I'm going to put the rest on a transparent bg too.

sharprm: What I was trying to do with the monster and character sprites - was to keep a consistent style throughout. Look at the characters' heads and the dwarves' heads for example. Most monsters with human features are based off the character bases. I would try and use the female base for the Hooker for example. Might help with matching over-all skin tones and facial features as well. The Pirat doesn't really match the style of the other rats either. Take a look at their legs, eyes, and nose.
Answering your question: I probably would have done it much the same, considering I would still have the same preferences from my employer to go from. He provided alot of style examples for what he wanted me to aim towards (screenshots from other games). I learnt a lot through working with the game of course. If I did it again I would have changed more things to do with the process itself. Is there anything bad with drawing attention to the fact that they are pixeled? All the graphics for this game are.

Yay! I didn't miss it this year.
Favourite colours: blue and black (thereafter green and purple). I hate pink.
I would be thrilled to get something of my original characters (found here: http://bluedelirium.com/main.html > characters). But if you don't feel like doing any of them, then I also like Zelda (Link, Ezlo and Tingle), Pokémon, fantasy stuff, rain, monkeys and hot guys of course. If you do fanart, then I'd prefer if it was personalized for me somehow :B (you know, not just a random sprite of Link)

Oh, and I guess everyone plans or speculates over their kids' futures. That doesn't mean that they won't support them in whatever they become though!
Also for god's sake name him something decent, like you know, Alex or Ben, yes, those are generic names but who the hell names their kid Theo Vincent Storm(I know I'm being harsh, but if he had that name, he'd be screwed through out high school)?Hey, my little brother's name is Torkel (and that is weird even for being a Swedish name) and noone picked on him. Actually I think it's nice to see a name that isn't used so often (like Alex or Ben), because that shows some creativity, and lets you not be "just another Alex/Ben". Theo is a really nice name btw! Looks like it will fit him well. And Theo Vincent Storm is the kind of name that people will remember (but that has both positive and negative sides to it of course).

Green-yellow tint on darker flesh shades is probably the absolute worst thint could use for inviting girl flesh.Agreed. Go with something red-brownish or purplish instead.
