@Vierbit - Nice work on the finished sprite, the styles really clean and different, not something I've seen before over and over, good job.

@Dhaos - Don't be expecting too much :P I've never done a portrait before either hahahaha. Never done anything really remotely human o.O

@All (lol?) - I'm trying to decide where I could put the arms besides just by his sides, any ideas?

i dont understand how the portrait doesnt have hair and the fighter sprite does.

Ditto o.O

Thanks vierbit, I'll try finishing the pose before doing anymore. I won't actually "sketch it" cause I don't draw my work then scan it or anything, but i'll finish it yeah. Just curious, which do you think is best, top or bottom?

Those look mega realistic, good job! I love the shading and shapes you did on the folds. Although it's a bit too dark, i don't specially see it as a problem, since denim pants exist in such colors. But keep in mind, when you're adding a top part for the character, that  lighter colors will contrast with the bottom, making it even darker, while dark colors will bump up the general lightness look of the pants.

Thanks for the tip, as I've said, this is my first time pixelling a fighter sprite, and any little things help alot :P would anyone have any suggestions on how to do the shoes? I had a go and they looked horrible >.<

Decided i might have a go cause I haven't done a fighter sprite before and all the entries so far look great. had abit of trouble so i looked at a few other sprites. That helped alot. Don't quite know why I started with the pants, probably because I thought they'd be easiest. I think it looks okay so far, but I don't like the left leg (right side from our perspective) very much. Criticism is hugely appreciated.

Are you sure you want to colour that?  There's something unique about it in black and white.  Give it a go colouring, but you might have hit something with black and white.

Here's coloured version, if you prefer the Black and white; I might go for that.

Half way done with the portrait, are there any size restrictions for it? Mine is becomming pretty large.

I guess steve stands corrected o.O Nice!

General Discussion / Pixel Ice..

I'm about to pixel something made totally of ice and was wondering if anyone could give me any pictures of ice related things pixelled by others or something like that to help me out?

So, I finally committed to something and finished it.  :)

All of your entries look great so far, guys.

At first this seems kinda simple, but it really does look nice, good job. I like the colours and the flaming hands concept.

Well, heres my entry:

Is my portait ok, or should I make a cut-ff only at the bottom? Ill add the rest of the hair if wanted, just tell me.

Nice man, only thing I don't like is the red through the hair, but its still nice.

Gawd.. I've never done a fighter sprite in my life.. I might enter hahaha.
