I made this old trabant lately. I will probably try to animate it when the shape will be definitive. For now i'm awaiting your critiques.

and here some ref pics :

Pixel Art / another boring walk cycle...

what do you think ? I tried to animate his body more but it felt awkward no matter what i tried...

In my opinion, the run cycle looks very good now.
I must say, and it's just a matter of personal esthetic taste, i don't like the large shoulders of the character...
I was thinking, before your last post, he was looking more like this :

I think it's much better, but there is still something you can improve here :

It's kind of blinking in an unpleasant way.

Here there is a lot of examples you can study to make the legs right :

Pixel Art / Re: Animations for topdown Dungeon game.

I lowered the arm with the shield to make it more birdy (chickeny, vulturey, etc.), birds don't use their wings when they walk. You said you wanted him not to care about his sword, i assumed he didn't care about his shield either...
In the sneak walk (and in you walk here), when both feet touch the ground they are as far as they can from one another and the advancing leg is almost straight from hip to toe. In the edit i tried a slightly different thing : i tried to make the advancing leg less straight and poiny and more concave at the ankle (like birds knees).
In the sneak (and your walk) the head bounces a lot so i tried to minimize just little bit the bounce of your character.
As i said, it was a really rough edit... maybe a little bit too rough (even if i was going for some discrete changes), sorry.

Here's a really rough edit. Just some repositioning to make it less "sneaky" and more "chickeny", because when i saw the walk cycle my first impression was "oh, a strange modified sneak". Hope it will give you some new ideas.

my vote goes for "without motion blur".

Hi. I really like your design and the run cycle. The dust works really well but i understand you want another solution for the run to look good on any background. The cycle has an anime touch due to its minimalism and effectiveness. Of course you can add some frames if you want to smooth it. Just depends on what style you're after.

You have a human-bunny here, if I had a character like that I'd try to find an interesting inbetwen point between human motion and bunny motion, watch videos of bunnies moving around and imagine what a hybrid of that and humans would be like, then animate that.
:y:

Kamillo, I think that previous version of running animation was better. In jump animations his ears move, but in running they are still which is odd. Also maybe double jump should have some interesting transition between first and second jump just to spice it up (flip, fist forward superman takeoff, some unusual twitch that make him move upward etc.)  :)
I second that opinion, you're first run animation was much better. What was bothering me in it was his left arm which was moving a bit too much, like if it was just some cloth without a real arm in it.
