One problem I see with this is that the art doesn't necessarily appear to be pixel art.
I'm no expert but as far as I know you have to put requests to do with pixel art here.  ???

It seems that your sofa didn't really have a sense of depth to it. the main bit it seems to be not thick at all. I made a quick edit here:



I also added a shadow to make it match the table. Perhaps adding a shadow to other objects.

I think that it is good, but apart from the cloak everything seems a bit static and stationary, try making everything move together, as it is, the eye is drawn to the cloak which I think isn't what you intended.

Thanks a lot BlackFang. Your point about the shape of the head helped me out tremendously.

I ended up redoing a lot of it, I didn't like how wide I made the hair. It made it look very "wild." So I slimmed it down quite a bit. I also removed or changed some colors that I thought were redundant or unnecessary. The difference is mostly unnoticeable, but it's there.



One problem I have with this walking animation is that it seems that the character's feet are point outwards as they are moving, it gives it a almost coical feel to it. Tell me if you disagree, but I just think that the feet should point more inwards. If you try walking normally, you will naturally see that your feet generally stay straight, they don't bend outwards.

I have actually decided that I am going to use a larger tileset but something seems wrong with either the colouring or the formation of my main grass tile.

Here is the tile:



Anyone see anything that is drastically wrong?

What I'm kind of confused about are the sizes of the pixels. for the head you have used small pixels of which the outline hasn't really been cleaned up, but for the body you have pixels that are twice the size.

I tried working on it a bit and got to this tileset, a bit more rounded and a couple more tiles; I added another basic dirt tile.

Here it is:



I added a couple of rounded edges to compare but I still think that the triangular ones are better

Today I started work on a grassy platformer tileset. here it is:


Here is a 'very' quick mock up of what a level would look like with this tileset.



I am new to pixel art so this is probably bad. Any suggestions for anything would really be appreciated.

I  think that it is probably a bit repetetive with the texture and I really don't like the grass, can someone modify it for me.
