Hi,

in gamemaker 8 there is a sprite editor, where you can add some animations to a sprite, for example you can make it shrink in x frames, or become invisible

that's very very very useful, and so I wonder if there are others tools like this available with more options ? i can't find any (maybe i'm using the wrong keywords)
By tools i mean programs or scripts for gimp, or plugins or no idea lol

Thank you

if you use gamemaker (only for testing) the sprite editor can do that

also I just found Alferd Spritesheet unpacker, very interesting program !! check a video of it

you can use some scripts to cut and put it in a new layer by pressing a hotkey

it will take few time (but i bet graphicgale will be better though)

you could also ask him to draw a forest instead of a city...

the leg goes too fast and too horizontally

but it could  be a style

i think this character is pretty cool for now

BUT there is a problem, the 2 legs when they are bending (in the air) are exactly the same lenght

the left leg should be shorter coz of perspective (otherwise it looks like it's a 2 frames animation and he is bending the right leg all the time)

yes he is stiff cause he is huge and more like an insect, but it works for a robot, the model anim is generic, it also applies to robots ^^

nothing else is needed lol :P
if it looks good to you (or just decent) it's enough i guess

i'm gonna put the shapes as soon as i made all the (walking) animations, i'll then print the skeletons and work on those "copies"

and just for you, it'll look like this (the back view is not finished xD)

here is the first walk i made which is good i guess

and i based the animation on this model (and reduced this to 6 frames instead of 8)

i started drawing this (it normally has wings and a tail but i removed them) but i'm going to change some details later, i needed a model, really, otherwise it was a pain

and i like your drawing, dunno if you made it to show me but in this case, really thank you

I'm redrawing it right now i'll show the edit after that

it means moving without being limited by a "tile by tile" movement, i mean when you walk square by square like in bomberman or in RPGMAKER's games

it looks nice but the music doesn't really remind me pimps (lol you should put some beat inside)
and i don't understand why u have to aim with the mouse to shoot (maybe to shoot diagonally), i'd prefer to use a key
and you could add a sound for the shot too, even if it's the same for all weapons for the alpha
