I'm going to use that for a ref later, and I just happened to have it pasted in there.
...since you posted, can I have some critique? It pisses me off when people come into my threads and just ask totally unrelated questions...

been working on this a lot, just haven't posted. Getting a lot of help from Glam! but thought I'd get different advice here...

I started with the lightsource coming from the upper right, but I might have overdid the light a little... I can see why it might look ambiguous, especially on the neck and shoulders. I'll fix that in my next version.
Any other comments?

little by little...

If you can't tell the difference the skin shading is fixed and AA'd. I have a feeling I'm using too many colors, but I don't want to ditch the AA. Any suggestions?

*copied from PJ*

Part of Jaeden's big head challenge. The goal of the challenge is to make a big portrait that looks like it could have been made using non-pixel methods.
I'm kinda straying from the goal for fear of this not being accepted + my <3 of contrast, but I'm having fun and learning new techniques along the way so it's a lot of fun.

Original:

Current WIP:

^ Kagami, a character from my story. She's a Gaki and she eats corpses. :P

The shading has obviously just been blocked out, and I kinda need advice on how to shade the hair/face before I go refining it. Color choice and anatomy advice is also appreciated.
Redlines are <3.

...I wish I could stop dropping projects.  :(

Anyways, there's a contest on another forum where the person who improves their pixelling the most wins... something. I don't know but I thought it'd be good practice.
My first challenge (this is a Pokemon forum) was a Steel/Fighting type. I don't know why this popped into my head, but I decided to make Pokey/Porky as a Pokemon made of melted steel with a Fighting-type robot.
...I really need to finish EarthBound and Mother 3...  :-[

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of things wrong but that's where you come in. At least I'm not posting just an outline this time lol.

Maybe I shouldn't be working on something so ambitious (for me anyways)...

Thanks, Helm. I decided to completely redraw one, edit the poses of the two on the left and edit the face of the one on the far right:

I also made a sample flat color version (which I will not actually be using, this is just so people can crit my color choices)

I like posting my preliminary images here, because I usually get the best crit. If I were to post on a regular art forum, I might get weird 'looks' from other artists, considering my medium.

I still need clothes ideas, though. I want something that will pull the piece together... matching clothes?

Umm, don't ask. Just crit, okay?   :-X

WIP including the ref I used.

I need:

-Anatomy Help
-Clothes Ideas
-Text? Ideas
-Background Ideas (Police lineup would work, but something a bit more creative?)
