The first image on the google search when you google Tera.
Compare the two female characters and male characters.
I don't really have much else to argue with you, it is pretty impossible to change peoples' opinions on the internet.

Though lastly... Your last point boils down to "You can't criticize if you can't make better." I know it is worded nicer, but criticism should not be qualified by the track record of the person who says it. I want to make a game, but there are a lot of steps between then and now. The industry shouldn't have to wait for a potential developer to start a trend. It's not too much to ask developers and gamers to think more carefully, is it?

Much of this boob-discussion is colored by people being afraid of having the designs they like getting taken away.
Even in MMO:s where you get an option to play a female, often times they don't give you the chance to wear the clothes you want. (Aion, Tera?) Its like they are scared that people will not play the overly sexualized characters. :l

It wouldn't be such a problem if both sides were exposed and treated in a similar way. Im sure most of you can distinguish between a powerful male and a sexual male. I've seen a lot of people claim that males are objectified just the same way, but the difference is that the male character is intended to look badass while the female is intended to look lust-inducing.

If a male character whose only clothes were stripper armor or codpieces would be inappropriate, would it be right to have females who have the equivalent type of armor?
So I guess I just want there to be an equivalent amount of sexualization of both genders, and preferably an option that isn't for those who aren't impressed by it such as myself.

Until then I just play male characters.

Edit: And yes, Im actually saying that sex is not a positive thing to everyone. There are people who have no interest in sex or courtship. It'd be nice to have a choice for those people too.

Hm, I kind of expected that style of response, and am disappointed to see my expectations come true.

I personally would find it incredibly obvious that the character was a female overall, during gameplay as you can see the breasts on the sideview without the skin showing. The face and hair are also pretty feminine.

But it is obviously useless to argue this fact, so go on then.

Edit: I also apologize for my crass tone, it is an important subject to me but it's no reason to be rude.
Good luck in the future.

Hm, that is true as well. Though I feel that there is a solution for this that wouldn't really hurt the character design. I don't think having the gray area on the body extend higher up would hurt the readability much at all.

*shrug*

The arm movement is a lot better, at least.
Since your character is more like a robot(?), the stiff body makes now more sense as well. c:

I think you'll need to start putting down the major shapes next? I don't really know what else to help you with..!

As a counterpoint to the earlier, I'm a female and I actually am quite annoyed by gratuitous boobs, because it makes me think the developer wanted to smack their device over the main character. Also it's very unoriginal at this point, everyone has a female character with a huge gaping boobhole in their armor. It would be nice to be treated a bit more respectfully and realistically in that sense.
It wouldn't be a point that I would drop a game over, but it does certainly reduce my respect for the developer. :l Also feels like a terrible disappointment that they could actually have made the decision to avoid this but decided to go with it anyway.

A post someone made that also makes a good point on a similar topic: http://weiss-rauschen.tumblr.com/post/40098127483/why-do-you-hate-the-shape-of-breasts-in-plate-armor-so

Also one thing is that the entire body swings to the left and right with the step. That makes it look kinda like a silly dance.
Toning down the swing and the head-bopple could do something good about that.

The arms are constantly reversing their joints in a way that doesn't make much sense - they pretty much just flicker slowly.
You have to figure out how you want the beast to walk, too. This would be easier if you first have a concept drawing of how the creature looks.
An example of how to maybe go about doing that?

Suggestions on the design itself are just examples and not meant as any kind of serious design. D:

It is an improvement, it looks like a very forceful attack!
The hair and some other white area there are flapping kinda funny. I think ErekT's edit could be helpful on that, as the hair in it has a clear movement to it. Hm hm.!

My understanding of a jump:
Crouch, leap, descent and hitting the ground. The crouch and hitting can be shortened a lot in order to make the gameplay better (delayed jumps are quite horrifying). The arms follow these motions - during the crouch they bend up, and extend for the leap. During the descent they trail upward to varying degrees. When hitting the ground the arms bend again, and then straighten for the standing pose.
