I draw the sketches out on paper and then I erase them so I can reuse the paper.
This is the best thing I've heard all day. Thank you.

Welcome Catakitsy :)

My eye is drawn to this:

This area is not using all the pixel real-estate available to describe the shapes.
Try to understand the space in 3 dimensions. How could this be described differently?

Ryumaru is right about the arm feeling off. It looks like he's shrugging instead of twisting.

There's pent up kinetic energy in the swing when he's twisting that you miss the opportunity to show.

I think Ryumaru's edit works if you are intending for the arm to be outwards like a block manuver. But if you look at the reference, the reason the arm is short is because his entire body is twisting. In the reference, his arm is out in front of his body in the 3d space, where in Ryumaru's edit his arm is outwards along side of him in a more 2 dimensional sense.

This should make you consider the shape of the whole body and the angle his head is facing and the way the arm is described by light.

Here's my messy (still anatomically incorrect) edit that moves the shoulder down but keeps the arm bent instead of extended just to explain what I mean:

Hi Glisean!

I like it.  :y:

The inside tree flesh tends to be lighter colors than the outside part of the tree.
I also made your lights lighter and darker darker overall:

Lookin' good Linaru

Don't be afraid to use white, or almost white (like the bright blue in the eyes) to add glittering highlights to your metal:

Lookin' good!

It seems like the perspective is a bit off on the dock:

If you follow the parallel of the the sides of the dock they meet out in the sky, when technically the vanishing point should sit on the horizon (red lines).
That means some of the dock needs to be shaved off or added along the sides (green lines)

Is there a reason you are sticking to so few frames?
Rpg Maker Sprites only have 3 frames.
The in-between "standing" frame is reused from the actual frame of standing idle.

I can't overstate how huge arcs are in animation
I'm note sure I grasp what you mean by "arc"?

I will put together an edit with what's said so far.

Howdy :)

I wanted to pixel Gilgamesh. Trying to give him big hunky swagger. Also want to improve the animation. He's supposed to be walking south:

What must improve?

All input appreciated. Thank you!

Which pieces of Norse mythology were you using as inspiration?

These two colors look almost the same at 1x1:

So hue shift the colors so each pulls its own weight:

Added highlights make everything shiny metal and get rid of banding:

 ;D

EDIT:
Also, for some reason, IrfranView adds compression to screenshots, kind of neat looking how everything blended together, kinda like a CRT filter, but different:
