Pixel Art / Re: [WIP] punch out remix

Is the opponent supposed to be massive?

Hard to give pixel crits on this because they are so far from polished.  Will be back around with more detail when it moves out of the rough stage of things.

no, but if i lower it down, it's hard to see the opponent movements...
any suggestion on how to fix it? :yell:

For a rough animation, this is pretty good.
Just be careful with that back of his, I don't think it should be a clean cleaved line.
:'( yeah.... my anatomy sucks :yell:

Where's Soda Popinski? Or Bald Bull? Or Max?

That aside, I think you're off to a good start. The animation is pretty dynamic and fluid. I don't particularly care for the colors which seem to be too saturated and murky. Everything could use some smoothing out, but I assume that most of this was just roughed in for now. That's all I got at the moment.

we end up using original characters instead of punch out characters, so....

yeah, i have to get all the montions done, dunno why but they say programmer need it.............

Figured might as well post a singular thread and just throw all of the images in here, as I progress. Anyway, I'm currently working on character design, mostly animation and what not. Right now trying o get the side view finalized and started working on the walking animation. Here is the progress on both so far:

PS: Sorry for double posting this, as there is already a thread about this on second page, but if mods could just delete it I'd appreciate it =D Honestly I should have started with a broader title to begin with. Oh also I did end up removing the back hand on the side view =)

Anyway any critique and commentary is always welcome.

[Edit] Bah had to make a quick fix on the top pixel row of the sideview x.x
[Edit2] Just added the walking sideview. I think I gotta raise the sole of the front foot  a bit to make it look more like walking and less like gliding o.0

i think  the legs looks stretched in the side view. pls correct me if i am wrong

Lightning is but a tad bit too heavily outlined, I think. Also, usage of pure white would probably be completely acceptable (even recommendable) in this case.

Other than that, great job O:!

thx!
you mean white outline on the guy?

I had an attempt at pixel art some time ago though gave up when I got disheartened after changing an old RCT monitor for a LCD one and finding out how crappy I actually was at this.

Though I figure I would never improve if I don't keep practicing so here's another go.

I redid the legs a couple of times but I just can't seem to get the position right, so any suggestions on that as well as any other aspect to improve this overall would be appreciated.

good muscles, i dont know, i am pretty bad on muscles.
but you might find what you want here
