I never read the book but the trailer didn't appeal to me.

The biggest child book --> movie adaptation dissappointment for me was Chronicles of Narnia. I loved those books. I was so psyched bc the same ppl that worked on Lotr were going to work on CoN which was so cool bc in real life Tolkien and Lewis were friends. But it was a huge let down for me, I could barely even pretend I liked it. I mean ... sure it was pretty ... but I thought it lacked character development and acting skills and what was going on with Mr Tumnus and Lucy O_o ... but I dunno maybe I was too old to enjoy it? *le sigh*

I actually liked the slowed down fighting scenes.
Hooray! Another fan!

Batman Begins was also horrible about this. there was not even enough light to tell there was a fight going on, you just had to assume Batman was winning because of all the punching noises and henchmen moaning.
That made me -lol-, I have to agree tho despite how much I loved the movie itself. I am really picky about fight scenes tho. I HATED in King Arthur where no one bled! What's up with that! I have been mortally wounded and instantly cartarized. *death* ... lame

@ Helm: lol, good to know. ;)

Anyway I stand by my :y: despite the historical inaccuracies. ^^

I must agree that it looks like some sort of modded computer case. At that size I honestly, with your skill level, I think you would be better off doing some type of CG. I think you should try and make progress with the smaller one still. With everyone's suggestions you are progressing, so why stunt that? I could actually see the concept in your last update. :)

If Frank Miller should be criticised about his sexism, it should be over how he is apparently no longer able to write a female character who isn't a ninja, a whore, or ultimately a ninja whore.
Oh god yes I totally agree! Lmao! Not to mention Every woman he draws is naked with huge tits and pointy nipples. Wtf? lol. It was totally unneccesary for Marv's parole officer to be a naked lesbian. I also felt like the sex scene in that movie was never gonna end.

That isn't really a bad thing. Seeing as that's how Seven Samurai is. Which is my favourite action movie btw.
You're right. It isn't a bad thing. But I am just saying that this was interesting. I hadn't seen a fighting movie in this same type of genre do anything quite like that before. I also enjoyed the capes... they billowed at all the right moments XD

Doesn't Leonidas at one point in the movie refer to the athenians as boy-lovers?
Didn't the Spartans historically take boy lovers as well? Or am I mistaken?

Hmm I saw 300 the other night... my favorite kinds of movies are historically based war movies with lotsa killinz! (<3 Braveheart) I personally liked the slowmo... it was really interesting to see him killing the guys and the actual moves and stabs he took. Most movies its like "slash slash slash" everyone's dead. Anyway I think the point of the movie was to be highly stylised like Miller's own writing/art. Pretty much everyone that went to go see it was aware of the innaccuracies but the same goes for Any historical movie or any movie based on a book. I am a Huge ancient history/mythology buff, but even so it didn't keep me from enjoying the movie. I hate when people sit there and pick out all the things wrong with the adaptation, just appreciate it for what it is or don't. *shrugs* I personally enjoyed it and would describe it as "awesome!"

Hmm... I have never heard the term "selout" before, so I don't really know what to do with that advice. Heh. :-[
Also in response to her "crotch" area... when I draw figures with pen and paper I tend to use angular lines and that usually includes an almost box-like crotch area and exaggerated triangular elbows and shoulders. If it really detracts I will try and fix it.
About the feeeeshies. What's wrong with the green? I tried to make it go from a more blue green to a yellower one. I understand that if I put them in an ocean setting the highlights will most likely be more blue of course.

Aight, so I was trying to play with less colors... I did this sexy girlie with 15 I think? Is that too many for something like this? I am not used to trying to reduce color pallettes. Anyway, crits welcome. ;D

---> Edited

Also, I am working toward doing a small underwater scene since I am such a fish nut so I did these leetle feeshes. 6 colors each. Crits welcome on this as well.

I really like the colors you used for this. If you are trying to show a lightsource from the rightside you should probably remove that dark line you have outlining that side of the tree and go with something lighter. And it's much improved from your last attempt!

I think the problem with the side view is that the arms dont look like they are moving the same. It looks like one's going back and one forward then back to the side so it kinda looks like he's about to uppercut someone instead of swinging his arms. When you do the lines for his right arm to sway you dont change the shading so it just looks like one arm, it needs to be more defined.

I think the point that needs to be made is you shouldn't give such harsh and rather rude critiques then post something of the same caliber or less. *shrugs* Basically don't be on a high horse unless it's deserving.  :P

I think it's time you all rethought your judgement before prosecuting someone as well as trying to dig into their affairs when uninvited.
Did you mean persecute? ^^
