didn't even use the search engine  :P

there are different kind of techniques how to make surfaces... the first thing though is to learn basic light direction, its hard ( I haven't master it) but its vital for the outcome of your image.

first to texture you image... figure out what kind of colour you want... then, from where the light are coming....



this is a good start... practice the light to begin with.... read tutorials in the links above...

come back with a nice picture for us to comment ;)

You really should be more patience.... take a deep breath and start searching the forums... internet etc to find all stuff you want to know

everything is out there.... when you have done your first pixelwork, return here, post it and we (them) could help you out

patience is the key to increase your skill

yes, speaking of water....

I think it would be nice with water dripping from Kraken and a waves, lots of waves would be excellent  :)

and probably make the whole thing a bit darker and the light maybe should have a more lightning yellow... I guess the lightsource is the cloudy sky and the lightnings...

very nice otherwise  ;D

well, instead of discussing word for penises etc... we should help Hawk, he asked for our help... then those who want should supply it.

and I think posting that naked guy is quite vital for helping him, if the base is good or bad we should atleast try helping him making a good one out of this

I personally think this model is quite good... only need some tuning

In the previous animations the head seems a bit strange.... the eyes are moving 1 pixel back when left foot is foward, but it doesnt move when the right one is.... to me it seems strange : /

Made a quick edit...



I moved the ear aswell...
