You don't really need books...just look at the mirror! Of course you'll understand the body's constitution much better with books, but since you don't have them yet...

I think everything is going in the right direction, except the right arm, which, in my opinion, is worse than in the begining. It's obviously too big, which you can comprove by comparing it with the left one (don't forget to consider that the left one is a litle beyond ;) ) , because you added an extra muscle before the elbow.

About the colours, remember, usually more is less and less is more!

I couldn't stand to see such a lovely sprite with so many colours (29???!!!), so I made two edits in which I showed how to reduce them :) (looked at yosh64's edit again and realized he hadn't reduced any colour at all, only suggested you to do so)

In this edit, I reduced the colour count to 15 (plus transparency = 16), without losing much, I think.

In this one, I reduced the colour count to 12 (plus transparency = 13), but the hue diference between the pants and the rest of the body was lost.

I also added a shoulder, in case no one notices ;)

Hope to have been helpful ;D

My only crit is that the reflection of the moonlight n the water is too strong. Heh, but that was probably the only colour you had to do it, right?

It's ace, I wouldn't say it's your first C64 piece!

Hello and welcome to Pixelopolis! Relax and enjoy your trip throughout the world of pixels!

My first impression of your sprite was very good, though after some time I found some things that didn't look right to me. First, you used too many colours in your sprite (yosh64's edit shows you how to effeciently reduce them :)) Second, if you intend to animate it, I would advise you not to use dithering on your sprite, since it may look bad. Third, there is no elbow on his right arm (yosh64 seems to have spoted that to, although, in my opinion, he went a bit too far on his edit :D just adding a ??hump?? there should work nicely ;))

And I <3 that axe! I hope to be able to pixel like you one day ;D

I just read the rules again and there's one thing I'm not sure of...the character must of our creation or we can sprite whoever we want????
