The eyes are too far down the head... AND IT'S FREAKING ME OUT, MAN!

(no really, 'tis the stuff of nightmares).

Also, the vertical pupils aren't working for me, they just make it even less human.

DrDerekDoctors;
May I ask what program you used when you made this? And also... does it take alot of scripting knowledge(c++, java etc.)?

Ooh, crap, sorry. Missed this reply. I did 'em all in Paint Shop Pro 5 - and the code was written in C by a chap called Tomaz Kac.

I like the browniness of the flames, it's just that they're quite dull colours compared to the vibrant tones in the rest of the piece. Pity it's being done with particles in the game, though. I like a good flame animation, I do. :)

I agree that the clothes look a little waxen on the flamer, but I really quite like how the lighting has been applied. I also really like the colour progression on the back end of the flame as it changes to smoke. Very nice, although doesn't seem in keeping with the rest of the higher saturation colour scheme.

Nice and cute, although the furthest back frame of the nearside arm snaps quite badly so you might want to do some sub-pixel stuff in the lead up to that frame. Also it seems like the whole body is bouncing up and down (including the legs) rather than the torso as a result of the legs being bent or straight. I'm not even sure the bounce is in-time with the floored foot passing under the body, tbh. But it's pretty cute all the same. Personally a little side-to-side rotation in the body and the tail wouldn't go amiss, though.

Of course, they don't have to overlap. You could use tiles which are 1 pixel shorter, which means you don't get the horrid nobbly doubled-up bits at either side. That's what I used for Head Over Heels (ob-whore) http://retrospec.sgn.net/games/hoh/ss/moon5.gif. Certainly didn't have any tiling problems on that game.

I just love the pictures. Especially the ones where there are cancerous black nebulas in front of lighter ones, such as http://heritage.stsci.edu/2002/01/index.html - they're just breathtaking.

Haha, really nice and varied. My favourite is definitely the pig - just looks like it's begging to be put into a game.
