The snake might fit into the tile better if you model its movement after a sidewinder. Here's a video of one.
Thank for link. I don't paint sidewinder, but motion this snakes really help me.

looks awesome.  although i'd say snakes are slower and more fluid-like.  this one looks like a sperm.
Yes  ;D You right... like a sperm, and paint break contraceptive. Will be funny.

The snake's head should move, as well.
Ok, i think this good correction.

And for eck. Thanks, but i rewamp urn in another direction, see sketch with snake.

Paint some textures on roof.

Funny, if light on roof maybe frontal, but on other piece house is left top. It's very terrible or not?
Maybe it's look at no bad, if consider this building move on gorizontal?

Impresive, but needs antialiasing desperately.

antialiasing  :( yes he needed, i hope i can update this.

And sketch for animation snakes. 4 frame - I think thats will be enough.

This stripe off snake will be move in right and other direction (down, left, right)
I paint also another stripe for diagonal directions (45 deg.)
Also urn i paint in 3d dimensions as the sketches (as tresure chest).
And when click on urn - she will be destroyed and snakes become out in 8 direction (vertical, gorizontal, diagonal)

Cool - about art on top topic!
But why left hand you characters move a strange? The right hand move perfect, in there emotion, limpness, but left hand move constrained too much. Thats see in the run and walk. Also you get it in the pixel animation to.
And legs move in some frame correctly, but another frame very bad, and you character is stumble...

too bad about the lighting...
this new piece is awesome.  it looks like the right side of the railing is over 1-2 pixels too far.  and then the bottom floor and basement windows arent aligned directly with the columns, looks like the far right column (the corner piece) is closer to the middle than the left.  good luck.

I think it's the middle column that's out of line rather than the windows.

If i right understand you.... I not see this earlier, thanks. Anyway, i think this is was better.

What is your problem with the snakes? Can you post a work in progress for the snake animation, maybe then we can help. The snake urn looks fine so far.

I think my trouble with this urn, namely how she paint, i inclined to paint this as treasure chest in 3d dimensions... And she is paint is not nice, maybe need texture (sennit)...
Of course, i put later animation for this.

Very funny sprites! Good.
But something about race  :-\, you fish race a very like as bird race. On you sketch ( personage more fishy than on pixel. Because on pixel his mouth like as beak, and haven't bulging eyes. Want see distance between eyes maybe more bigger and mouth up to eyes. His hand too much long. Maybe my small edit help you:

With this eyes you did can more emotion for you character.
And color will be more fishy.
Also you must small work with shapes.  :D

Funnily...  :crazy: I don't contrive the chest with snakes, but paint another tile - star and fix chest
star - bonus, which you gather 3 in line, you score a double.
