Pixel Art Feature Chest / Re: [WIP]Tileset for a bar

DIRECTIONS: Take with grain of salt. This is my first critique.

I think the wall was moved up to make room for that darker area, which appears to be a raised floor. It's not just a really tall wall. ;) I recognized it right away, but maybe a shadow would make it more obvious? I don't know, RPG's in this style typically don't have shadows indoors do they?

I noticed you're using 55 (!) colors. In my opinion that is excessive. Here's some quick palette reductions. Of course it can look better than this if you tweak it a bit afterward.

I really like what IvanM did in his edit.

Pixel Art / Re: Struggling with forest fade

It looked so good in the beginning, it had great atmosphere! But changing the horizon was a leap in the wrong direction. The trees should not fade to green as they get further away, but more of a blue, like you had originally. I think the black silhouette makes it look really flat, and the green version just looks strange. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I just liked the original a lot more.

EvilEye's got a great edit there. Focus more on the foreground and the lighting.

I like the outlines, and I don't think it's a problem having same color shadows. The inconsistent line width reminds me of games like Spy Fox.

Wow, these things are so cute. I definitely think the new base looks better than the round one. Those robots are looking really sick too!

WHOA! This is EPIC, man! I just read the entire thread and I am loving these swords so much. I really liked the leftmost sword and now the master sword is looking amazing too. Sorry that I don't have any critique, I'm a real noob.

General Discussion / Re: Read the Rules, then introduce yourself here.

Hi! My name's trough. My strength is really music but I love art and hope to become better at it. So I thought I'd just join this club of amazingly skilled artists and maybe some talent would rub off on me.

This seems like a great community and I found some great resources from the resource thread! Also, the design, skin, whatever it's called is really cool. I read the rules and it all seemed fine until this line:
