Maybe I'll do the rest of the characters.
If you don't we will. Hope you don't mind I'll probably be jumping onto this band wagon.

Great piece. His left (our right) claw looks like there's too much black at the bottom. Smooth that a bit. It might also benefit from some darkening of the colors.

I'dd say the hat is too shaded. The rest of the sprite is quite light, and all of a sudden the hat is mostly shadow.
I think you mean too dark.

I think there's the issue of banding all on the collar and hat.
The lightest grey is too light. It's almost white. Change it to sort of bridge the gap between your darker colors and that white or leave it and change the white to bridge the gap.
Take care of that and you'll be golden.

Make the run less pendulummy and more eliptically.

Why does he switch what hand the rope is in so much?

Made an edit:

Made it smaller so I could edit a reasonable amount of things in those 5 minutes.
He got a haircut, personal preference. I think the anime inspired hair gets silly.
Gave his face some volume along with a nose and mouth.  Not aiming for super-realism but I think you should see a different style that wasn't photo realistic
Changed his pose a little, got rid of the two swords to give him a giant one. No idea why I did that. You should probably have one of the swords sheathed unless he's ready for a fight.

Manliness is often determined by the number of swords you carry.
Size matters too!

Atm the light on the face doesnt make much sense when compared to the earths shading. Looks more like a face in front of a picture of the earth.

Can't say the design makes much sense either. It that a giant space face with a laser emitting cigar? I think you should take a step back to think the design through. It's not very interesting.

I love that last one.

Man... I wish I had an attractive female amazon.com delivery girl to pine over.

How did you get a chance to work with Bryan?

It'd help a lot if you just blocked in a color for that white area.

I think the trees could really benefit from some hue shifting in the green and "brown".
The walk way has some banding issues on the left side.
Work on the volume of the trees while you're playing with the colors.

Yes.

Some part can probably stay but don't be afraid of a little more work. It SHOULD pay off in the end.

Pixel Art / Re: Odin, the ice elemental

I think you'd best be off looking back at the design you're running with. I've recently become a big fan of Norse mythology.
A few things I think need to be pointed out. Odin isn't the ice elemental. He's the all-father of the norse gods. He only has one eye left, the other one was traded for a great deal of wisdom. He often times disguises himself as an old man. He is associated with wisdom, war, battle, and death, and also magic, poetry, prophecy, victory, and the hunt. Obviously he's more of an intelligent God than a brutish ice giant.

Now with that out of the way...

I think the beard looks stiff, it feels like a piece of paper connected to his mouth area. In your reference he has a full beard grown out from his jaw. Just like Emtch said, Odin had a spear. He is rarely mentioned with a sword. His nose seems.... ugly. Makes him look like a troll or a generally ugly giant.

I like the antlers, shorten them and thicken them a bit. They'll read more like antlers than tree branches. The blue eyes really need changing.

Good luck, there's a lot of work ahead.

This is only hurting you. Look at the slide positions on these colors that you like. You need to be able to create your own realistic colors because a reference won't always be available. Let us see these cartoon colors so we'll know where you're coming from. Straight copying like this will the worst thing you can do.
