I agree with the other posts that the exploding should happen from the back of his head.

The bald guy doesn't work too well. I had to zoom in just to figure out what he was, and even after that he didn't look right. I don't understand his pose either.  Judging by the Length of his upper body his legs would be visible below the door opener's arm.

First of all that looks really cool stylistically, nice job. As blood splashing the animation is a little off-putting though. I think the main thing that bothers me is how the amount of blood grows and shrinks after its been released into the air, instead of just spreading out.

Okay, so I'm designing the game they're going to be used in now....

Wow thats pretty unique :o, sounds fun!  I hope you get the help you need to get this thing rolling.

Not sure if my simple "texturing" worked out along the flat side of the blade.  Lemme know.

No I don't think that worked very well. The way that its dithered the two shades just combine into a new color unless I squint my eyes.

Dithering might still work though, maybe you should try a less uniform dither pattern on it.

By Helms comment it sounds like the sword has quite alot of damage though, so if your going for complete authenticity you might have to add individual scratches and pockmarks.

It looks crisp I love it.

I think you tied the whole thing together really well with the colors you used.  The only thing that feels a bit awkward is the bottom of the tail, it breaks the mood a little for me.

EDIT: As for a frame, I don't think it needs one. The piece is really great on its own, with alot of style. I think a frame might just take away some of the focus.

He wears black suit with a red bow-tie and red shoes. I remember the moment with the robe though.

Good point, clr. But there's an episode when Jigsaw is riding 3-wheels-bike? I don't think that was a puppet there.

You mean like this?

The actual killer is the old guy in the red and black robe:

I hope that will clear up some confusion for you Gas.

I like the piece gas :) the isometric version of samara looks a bit off to me though, because of how sharply defined the sprites bottom is.

RED. GREEN. BLUE. VOID. If you've got the stones for it.

Thats amazingly cool man. I just set that as my desktop  :)

I Am Uh you should definately try colour lovers as Takai suggested. With so many palettes alot of it is crap, but you can find some really nice stuff there if you look around a bit.

That looks great Caz, it has a very calming feeling to it.

The only suggestion I can make is that unless it was left contrasty for stylistic reasons, you might want to AA between the different tones in the sky a bit to smooth out the transitions.

I think you're just rotating these, so it looks as if the lightsource is following the hammer.
That's an improvement, but I think you should do them all separately, it'll be harder, but it makes for better work ethics, and that's an important thing in game making.;)

Nope I redraw them for the 45 degree angle. I just try to make the second angle that I draw match the first one as closely as I can.

I tried making the lightsource remain consistent on the two angles but I don't think it worked out to well. I wasn't able to keep the hammers shape as sharply defined when I was worrying to much about the direction of the light.

lol, assuming you used to (or still do) play graal?  if I were you, I wouldnt waste my time with that game.  they have horrible graphics artists (except for some lance guy) and a lot of the servers arent even pixeled...

Yes I do make my stuff for Graal, but I don't think I'll take your advice. I don't think you can really compare the graphics in Graal to the stuff here because its a completely different aim they're being made for.  Even if they do have horrible graphics artists, that just means I have a better chance of getting my work used on it  :P

I finished a recolor of the hammer based on the advice you guys gave :) . I think I made it look a bit less boring, any comments?
