That looks fantastic! :y:

I'm not sure what bothers you about the lizard's bum. I like the slight clumsiness of the pose, as dragons are heavy creatures.

Something I noticed after looking a bit longer at the piece is the spot where the tail meets the rest of the body, which is obstructed by the wing: If the spikes are to continue up the dragon's back, there must be an extreme twist of the tail in that small obstructed area. Maybe the last four visible tail spikes need to be turned away from the viewer more.

Looks very nice already, and the controls work fine. The character in the bottom left looks very reminiscent of this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Moon#The_Toast_King

How about making the coins' sides reflect some light when they're turning?

Grüsse aus der kleinen Schweiz! ;)

I added some more AA at places and made the robot's right arm a bit brighter.

With darker cliffs:

Interesting points, miascugh. Thanks!
I changed the cliffs' colors to purple/green when I got the impression the robo's red feet blended too much into them:

Making the cliffs darker with only the outlines showing sounds like a good idea, I'll try that.

Thanks for you comments, all.

Really nice I have to say, and you also seem to use a proper pixelprogram, from what I can tell from the nicely ordered palette indexes.
Since I saw it mentioned several times, I downloaded the trial version of Pro Motion 5.1. Still trying to get the hang of it, but I like it so far.

After gawking at all the wonderful stuff people here are creating with a handful of colored dots, I had to try pixeling something myself. Here's the result of one evening:

22 colors. Drawn "from life" - the robot's standing on my bookshelf. Any C&C appreciated.

Andrew Loomis' "Figure Drawing for What It's Worth" comes to mind (http://www.austinsketchgroup.com/share/loomis_FIGURE_draw.pdf), which I think is well-suited for a beginner.

This picture came with my Deluxe Paint II, which I've fortunately backed up:

Incredibly cool program for its time.

First post, by the way. Hello!
