Most streets don't have anywhere near that much texture  :P

Placement of the eye in side view is very strange.
In front view they are much closer together.

For game sprites, its always good to work with a comprehensive palette.
So try some colored backgrounds and see how it affects things.

I knocked back the black line a couple pixels.

Not sure how to address the hood and snout, maybe this downward facing sprite will calrify their positions a little.
Also, please C+C on it too.

Liking the new colors and levels, but missing the glowing eyes.

Leaves are looking good :)
I like the colors, but maybe drop the saturation a little.
I'd focus on just one element.
The gun guy is cool too tho.

Thats funny :)
I think you should redo the face though with more contrast in the flesh tones.
That headband comes to a strange point, not sure if its intentional.

Neato reflections.
I think the contrast could use some boosting, especially the grays.
The flame could use another frame or so too.

Thanks for the nice words :)
Here is a baddie.
If it reads as a living, moving turd pile, then I am on the right track.
Will be making the up and down sprites for him too.
Please C+C with anything that you see on this or the other sprites.

Pixel Art / [WIP] game sprites - tank and dialog portraits

Here are some sprites I'm working on for my game, probably going to be 320X240 (doubled) resolution.
They reference a project of mine called snugsuds, and I'm looking for C+C if you please.
The tank body and turret are separate to allow for strafing fire.
You can drive in any direction while firing in any other.
Movement is in four directions and the animation shows all iterations of driving/firing combinations.

The portraits are there to help the player know what character is talking.
I'm trying to find a balance between keeping the dialog boxes small, but also readable and in an eye pleasing format.

A baddie:
