tips:
-add some smaller rocks in the ground
-add another color with a different hue (rocks are colorful) Example
-add details on the rocks, like little scratches and stains etc. (reference previous example)

before you start thinking of the color, you should really get his shape and anatomy right, and maybe add some more details in some empty places : )

the colors are ok, just try to start from a sketch of the whole body. If you want it to be cartoony or funny try to have lot of smooth curves for the body : )

Hi Elfuun!
Well, the basic tip you should follow is to start from a sketch of the whole body before you get into details with color, shading, etc., as you did : )
I'm pretty sure the head is wrong too but I don't really know 'cause it has no facial features!

Here's an orc I did last month using pain't default palette


I made him fat and muscular : D

Since your orc is twice the size you should be able to pack way more details in it : ) But first, try to get the basic shape right

Lorath, good edit but you might want him to flail his arms a little less if it's a WALKING animation, that looks like he's running : p
