Pixel Art / Re: Mana Icons for Fall From Heaven the Roguelike

Well the last angle has gradients and lighting while the first is flat.
If this is for a game than when you see the first angle you are turned off because it is flat not knowing the cool final stage.
So if you bump it up a little so its not so flat and bland the initial look will be better.

(This is so minuscule that it doesn't really matter)

Top Floor
- Looks so rough it feels like its in the middle east (No offence to the ME)
- Doors are too dark
- Hallway floors are normally consistent, not different look on both sides.

Bottom Floor
- Doors are to bright
- What are the yellow boxes?
- Not enough color

So in conclusion you have to much in the top floor and too little in the bottom.
Find a hallway in between those two.

I would recommend making the first column as high (or almost) quality as the last column. It looks fine knowing that the main picture will get better but without knowing that it just takes away the initial look at it.
Really thought they are all fine but the one in particular I am talking about is the first one in the second row.

His side view mask looks noisy in comparison to the front view.
Also that sword looks a little fat (or short)

Very cute though  :3

That actually looks pretty good to me.
The only thing I can really say (and I am not by no means horse expert) is that the back looks a little short,  like a pony.

I know this was kinda already said but the side walking does look like the legs are like tentacles and flop around. Although it is hard to do anything with legs on a small scale like that.

Unfortunately I do not have the link nor the time to explain so you will ahve to find a tutorial yourself if you do not already know what it is.
Anti Aliasing a.k.a. AA

Never ever save your sprite picture as a JPG.
If you don't have a backup copy then you may be in trouble.   :o
(That is for the previous post picture)

Many ways to improve here.

- Remove noise in Hat and Pants
- Replace black outline with shaded outline
- Anti Aliasing
- More colors (More shading)
- Shoulders are a little deformed

Pixel Art / Stop a Moving Train! [WIP] & [C&C]
« on: May 10, 2011, 12:50:48 am »
My next project I am working on is "Stopping a moving train"
I am trying to keep it in the Isometric style but I am failing at rounding out the corners and getting the right shading.
Note that there is no AA at the moment as I am trying to get the base down right now.
